Dash Salt-Free Seasoning Blend, Original, 6.75 Ounce

I had to cut out salt as much as possible due to high BP, so I bought this salt-free condiment, expecting it to be bland. Actually, it bursts with flavor on your tongue and I did not miss the salt at all! I love it! Now I put it on everything. Except Cap'n Crunch. 😆

A great seasoning product that perfectly complements food and is my go-to salt substitute, with a large size that makes the seasoning longer-lasting and more affordable than what you can buy in brick-and-mortar stores. I am so glad they carry the larger volume containers on Amazon.

I love using this spice mix as a base for my chili. The taste is very umami, but it is heavy in black pepper. If it had a lot less black pepper, I would give it 5 stars. I like that it has no salt. The 3 flavors I can taste the most are black pepper, garlic, and lemon.

This is always in our pantry. It is by far one of the best seasoning.

My doctor recently recommended Mrs. Dash to help me replace salt in my diet. I had already started using a lot of Simply Organic spices which I highly recommend. Thought I'd give this a try too and I'm glad I did. It's got a rather unique blend of herbs and spices that might sound a little off putting when you read them but they work very well together. One thing I will note here is that it can be a bit on the spicy side if you add too much. There are several different types of pepper in this blend that add just the right amount of zip if used properly or to your taste. I have a sensitive stomach so I don't over due it. I discovered just how "zippy" it can be the last time I made tuna salad. I had used it in tuna salad the week before and it was fantastic. I figured if a little was great, more would be fantastic....lol. Maybe it would be for someone who likes spicy. Bottom line...buy it...experiment with it starting with smaller amounts at first and add more until you find the amount that gives you the spiciness you want. Remember it's dried so it takes a little time for the flavors to develop. When making something like tuna salad, I add it to the mayo first so the dried herbs and spices absorb moisture faster and then mix everything together. I will definitely be buying this again.

Mrs Dash seasonings are absolutely brilliant and are a very tasty alternative to salt. We now buy salt free crisps and add Mrs Dash. Lovely jubbly! Plus you can add it to virtually anything to improve the flavor.
