Comfortable and Effective: The Best Post-Surgery Onesie for Cats!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this recovery suit for my 6-month-old kitten after her spay procedure, and it was a game-changer! She hated the cone, so I decided to try this onesie instead, and it was the perfect solution. It kept her from licking the wound, allowing it to heal properly. The fabric is soft to the touch and stretchy, so she felt comfortable wearing it all the time. The velcro closure and adjustable string around the neck made it easy to fit her perfectly. I was so impressed that I bought another color to keep her clean and comfortable while washing the first one. This is a must-have for any cat parent dealing with post-surgery recovery. Highly recommended!

Perfect!
My 2 & 1/2 month old kitten is getting spayed next month at 3 months so I was looking for the right recovery suit that would fit her. I was having a hard time deciding with sizes due to other reviews. I got a size small and it was a perfect fit. Not too tight or too lose. It’s a nice soft material as well, however I did notice a small little rip by the stitching after she was in it for the first few minutes as she tried to take it off. She kept kicking at it. But it’s a small tiny hole that isn’t noticeable and it’s a quick fix. After 5 minutes she was used to it and walking around normally. I have been putting it on her daily for a few hours for her to get used to it before the real surgery next month. I do wanna point out that these recovery suits make my kitten shake her legs a lot. I was panicking (mainly bc she also happened to have gotten her vaccine that same day I got this suit, so I wasn’t sure if it was a vaccine reaction). The suit also wasn’t tight around the legs so I couldn’t figure out what was going on. Turns out the recovery suit just tickles her legs, so she does shake them often. I wanted to share that so no one else panics like I did. After taking it on and off a few times, I noticed she only does this when she’s wearing the suit. I have also put on other suits and self made ones as well and the same thing happens, so I know it’s not a medical issue or an issue with the suit. Just a ticklish cat. Overall the suit is a great recovery suit for spay surgeries as it completely covers that area. Love that my kitten is comfortable in it, as she hasn’t tried to take it off since the first time she had it on

Amazing product for your cat after surgeries!
My cat got spayed and she’s an over groomer. I needed something to stop her from licking the incision. I hate using cones, plus she literally takes them off if I even would try. This product is amazing. The medium fits well on her, she’s 9.5 pounds and is almost 2 years old. It’s cute, very stretchy, and breathable. You might need to be careful around the butt part, she would use the litter box and accidentally get poo on the bottom. Also, it covers a lot of the cat, so they won’t really be able to groom themselves. Anyways, very good for surgeries. I love it!

Great substitute for E collar
We purchased this for our 16 year old kitty who has an open wound on his side that he constantly licks. Our vet thinks that it may be squamous cell carcinoma. He is not a candidate for surgery due to several other health issues. We took him in when neighbors moved and left him outside to fend for himself. He weighs thirteen pounds and we ordered a large but I think we should have opted for an extra large. It was very easy to put on him since he has a "catitude" and is not always very cooperative. We did leave his back legs out because I didn't want to return it. It still does the job very well. This is an excellent option instead of an Elizabethan collar. It's easy to put on and take off with the Velcro at the abdomen. They are still able to use the litter box with ease. This is definitely a good recovery suit for abdominal wounds, skin diseases or surgery incisions and he looks super HANDSOME in his onesie.

E-Collar Alternative? Yes, but...
This is a good E-collar alternative, but depending on your pets preference it may or not make them more comfy. While it worked for its main purpose of keeping my female kitty off her stitches after her spay, she was no happier than she was with the e-collar. It just made her much less mobile, and more grouchy toward me. With the -collar the vet gave us, she would walk around and 'try' to live normally, bumping into things and not being able to get in her favorite nooks and crannys of the house, and was in relatively good spirit. I grabbed one of these thinking she would prefer it, but the moment I put it on she just got depressed and would barely move, sitting in the loaf position staring at the wall just about 24/7. She is a 6lb average dimensioned/pre portioned kitten, and the small size fit her perfectly, but these need to be form fitting (Like hers was) to ensure they cant get under the cloth to nibble on the stitches and with my cat at least this very minor constriction really bothered her. She would pretend she couldnt walk, rolling over when put down (and so on), even though she "could" move. I know this because a few hours after putting it on her, I had company over to the house, who was a stranger to her and when they walked in the one and only time she moved while wearing the vest occurred, as she dashed across the house to hide, with her normal speed and dexterity... Soon as the company left she was back to acting like she could barely walk, being a loaf of bread. The material is pretty thin, but for $10 it was about the quality you would expect. Right out of package a few stitches were already fraying, but nothing that would make it fall apart for the time it was needed. Definitely not a good option if you want it for multiple cats over time/plan to wash it and re-use more than once or twice. For the price its good to get to at least try, as your pet may not be as grouchy as mine and for $10 is was well worth the try, as it was no big loss when I ended up going back to the cone the next day.
