For the past twenty three years, Andy has been developing and producing series and specials for high-profile companies, including Disney, ABC, Lifetime Television, Hearst Broadcasting, and Discovery Communications. In the early part of his career, Andy served as a producer during the start-up of Hearst Broadcasting Productions. There he produced series for cable networks, including Lifetime Television and Travel Channel. After his success with Hearst, Lifetime Television relocated Andy to New York, where he served as a Production Executive and Executive Producer for many of the networks in-house series and specials including Carly Simon Live at Grand Central (live music special), and The Soap Opera Update MVP Awards (live prime time awards show). After Lifetime, the Walt Disney Company recruited Perrott as an Executive Producer where he oversaw the development and production of both series and specials including a live prime time holiday special, A Magical Time in a Magical Place. Andy left Disney in 1999 to establish Lightship Entertainment. Under Andys supervision, the company has produced more than a dozen prime time shows for Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, the Science Channel and Destination America on various subjects ranging from the thrill rides at Walt Disney World to the latest innovations in concept car design. The company also produced a 65 episode studio-based series entitled, Petsburgh, USA, for the Animal Planet network, as well as a story-driven series on dog training entitled, Good Dog U. In 2002, Disney tapped Perrott to redevelop and Executive Produce its two-hour ABC Christmas Special, The Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade. Under Perrotts tenure, not only were ratings on the show dramatically improved, but it began to attract top level performance and host talent including Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli, Ryan Seacrest, Nick Cannon among many more. In 2005, the show was awarded the Emmy for Best Special. Lightship continues to develop and produce series and specials. In 2010, Perrott established Lightship Media as a sister company to handle the requests for commercial and corporate production. Through this company, Perrott has directed and produced brand focused commercials, promos, and corporate video content for companies such as Disney, Hilton, , Kraft, Truvia, and HSN. In 2013 Lightship produced 26 foreign language spots for Disney Parks in Spanish and Portuguese. These spots reached an unprecedented audience Disney Channel Latin America and online throughout all of Latin Amercia. Perrott prides himself on being an entrepreneurial thinker who thrives in high-pressure situations that require on the fly creative solutions to complex problems, particularly in live or time sensitive production circumstances.
