HOBBYWING QUICRUN 880 ESC, Waterproof ESC for Dual Brushed Motors

Easy way to get 4s without breaking the bank. Excellent product that delivers every time I use it.

Bought this for my trolling motor based on You Tube. It is very compact and is working perfectly except for one issue. With my original setup I can switch between a fast or slow speed. Installed the Hobbywing to the slow circuit only for fishing. The issue occurs when returning to slow speed from fast. The Hobbywing controller must be centered before continuing forceing me to retune trolling speed each time. Also, my control pot doesn’t have a defined center / neutral spot so I must fiddle with it before getting a reset. Will be keeping this Hobbywing as a backup but will try a PWM.

Genuine product. Used for a Powerwheel remote control car conversion. I was thinking to myself, 80 amp, yea right! Well, I have pulled around 30 amp in tall grass with my 2 year old daughter on board, up hills and this controller barely was warm. Incredible speed control with PWM yields very precise speed control and smooth starts. The configurability is nice, with the ability to delay reverse until the second return stroke (training mode) as well as limiting reverse power percentage, etc. The 2 outputs are just wired in parallel, so not a huge feature, but it's one less connection to make if you have dual motors. Only ding I'll give it is for some reason if I set the battery mode to NiMh (figured that was closer than LiPo when using SLA batteries) the unit will shutdown after about 3 seconds of use, even with battery protection disabled. Whatever, it doesn't really matter as it works for my application in LiPo mode.

This is a fantastic option and budget friendly ESC from a reputable brand. I’ve used this ESC is a few of my RC’s and recommended to many friends. Easy to setup and works flawlessly.

This electronic speed control is a very nice and flexible unit. I have it installed on my Clodbuster with aftermarket motors. Great value. The only drawback is that you need a separate card to make adjustments to the ESC that are different from default settings. For example, the ESC is default setup for Lipo batteries. If you want to run NiMH batteries, you need to purchase the card to adjust. At first, I wasn't quite sure about this ESC. But after doing some research, it's a perfect ESC for the Super Clod buster.

Using 3 with a trolling motor build all work great but I do recommend getting the program card for fine tuning and adjusting

I like the workability of this esc. You have to get the program card to modify the settings to the specs you need or to customize your project to your liking. The only thing I haven’t figured out yet is how the cooling fan mounts to the unit. I think there might be holes in the decorative grating as it comes with screws but I’m sure they made it simple and easy as they usually do. Good piece of kit for dual brushed motors for a wide range of RC vehicles!
