Good glass at half the price of the “big names”

I have had these binnoculars now for around two years and I have to say that I find the optical performance very disappointing. They are certainly not crystal clear as they should be for the price. Within a very short time I found that the focus was not working correctly. I took them back to the agent who told me that it was the sleeve surrounding the focus ring which was slipping and that I should try rebonding it . This I did and the problem was solved by myself. I gues that I should return them to the manufacturer for assessment under the lifetime guarantee. I bought them as I had lost my 8 x 40 Nikons. These I have now found and they are so much better.

I bought these binoculars to replace a pair of Nikon Monarch 7, which I had lost and used them to whilst on a two week birding holiday in the Pyrenees. The image clarity was between 10%-20% less on Viper binoculars (in a range of lighting conditions) in comparison to my old Nikons. Often I had to get within 20m or birds in order be sure of a correct identification.

So, so good! Clear vision with crystal clarity that is like seeing in 3D. These work superbly from fairly close to distant objects, I absolutely love these bins. They come with a fancy chest harness bag that is very funky and aren’t so heavy that you couldn’t cart them around all day.

Tras darle muchas vueltas me quedé con estos 10x42. La nitidez es excelente y, para mi gusto, apenas se aprecia aberración cromática. No son los más luminosos que he probado, pero me parece que es el sacrificio por la nitidez y la poca AC. Escogí X10 porque frecuento zonas de aves acuáticas y de grandes mamíferos. Si buscas unos prismáticos para bosque o distancias intermedias me quedaría en el 8x42 que me parece que balancea un poco mejor el ángulo de visión y la luminosidad.

Extremely good optics. I returned these because the diopter could only lock in at the center and would not lock in where it was adjusted to. I liked them enough to order another set. These are not as bright and clear as my Leica 10X42 Geovids but then they are less than 1/3rd of the price. These will go into my hunting pack for big game. hunting. I’m vey happy with them and for the money, these are extremely difficult to beat quality wise. I own Steiners, Swarovski and Leicas and I’m extremely happy, especially because of the lower cost and the crazy awesome warranty that has your back more than any other company. The only quibbling I can come up with is that the strap is too short to sling the binoculars on my side. I just had a chance to check the binos at dusk. For the price and they aren't cheap, these are excellent at managing light. They penetrate the dark very well. Not quite as good as some of my others (Swarovski and Leica) but they do amazingly well during dusk! I am happy!!!

Ottimo prodotto, un po’ di aberrazione cromatica in condizioni di alto contrasto ma tutto sommato non invasiva. Aggiornamento: ho perso il copri oculare in una uscita naturalistica, contattato il centro assistenza mi hanno spedito senza alcuna spesa un kit completo di pezzi di ricambio dal loro centro UK dopo 1 giorno dalla mia richiesta di comprarli.
