A great $10 insurance policy against losing an original.
So, I lost the original that came with my 2008 Volkswagen, beetle, and order this one. I subsequently found the original which I now keep in the car, and I love having the insurance of having an extra one around for only $10 if you need one of these, I strongly suggest you have two because they are so easy to lose.

Great if you can count!
This item worked great for a 2008 beetle. Be sure to count the teeth! I ordered a 2nd. One for the trunk, one for the tool box. DO NOT USE!!!!! an impact gun to tighten or loosen this bolt. You will strip it. But once loose you can use the gun to bring it out fully and then re-seat it before hand tightening down to spec ft lbs.

Wrong description should be more detailed in the product
Not as described it won't fit my lug nut lock it says it fits but it won't its too big

Looks can be deceiving.
Looks can be deceiving. So cow and the german auto makers have come up with a whole bunch of different locking lugs. Some are like this which have a kind of squared off tip to each point while others are actually pointed and of course there are a lot of different spline counts (number of points). This is decent quality but didnt work for what I needed which was a 13 spline like this but pointed tips. I ended up just buying the whole set that has the different tip types and spline counts. Well the whole set for these type of locks anyway there are hundreds of different locks out there so more sets will follow. But my suggestion is to buy a set that looks to have what you need so you'll be sure it has what you want.

worked like a charm! Saved me big $$$
worked exactly perfect to get the anti theft lug off of my mk4 Jetta. I would have had to go straight to a VW dealer and order the converter for probably $60-80. no warping or breaking, socket and pole did the trick.

Have an Audi or VW with a spline lock nut - buy this replacement key
There is another similar spline lock nut key available but it is for other german car makes like BMW or Mercedes. The VW/Audi versions of the spline key will always start with ABC## where the ## is the number of splines. The other spline nut keys are a bit smaller in diameter and won't work with your wheel lugs.
