After watching poldark twice i couldn't help feeling there was a lot of things un answered and took the opportunity to buy this bundle of books.been delivered an hour and already absorbed fully ,on page 27 book 1 and surprised on how much detail is missing from the series .wonderfull collection and worth the money !

Superb books and great service

After binge watching the tv series several times, I bought this set of books. I just could not believe that Ross Poldark would become a spy for the French …… so what did WG write? The books are brilliant. Ross does not become a spy for the French, nevertheless the whole story is compulsive reading, and Winston Graham’s writing is a rare treat. I am looking forward to reading it all again and maybe again. I also bought a set for a friend’s birthday. It’s a gift in a number of ways.

These books have just arrived so I am just reviewing the quality rather than the literary content. As I wanted to read the novels I wondered if this set would be a mistake and half expected them to be small paperbacks with tiny print as they were only £2 each! However they are a normal sized paperback (13 x 20cm) with normal sized print and on nice paper. Helpfully the editions are numbered on the back covers, "The first Poldark" and etc. They are not the gorgeous really floppy type of paperback, nor the awful stiff sort, rather they are the good in-between kind which could be read without breaking the spine and I will enjoy reading them hopefully!! They arrived in a sturdy plain normal box that fits them as a set, packaged in a larger Amazon box, so were well protected. I enjoy books in paper rather than on device screens so all of the above adds to the enjoyment of reading but doesn't often get mentioned in reviews and I so wish it did.

This is wonderful value for money for the entire set. Purchased as a gift and my family member is thoroughly enjoying reading these. Text size seems fairly decent, which is why I got them for, as the original books my family member had said the text was way too small to read.

I fell in love with the Poldark series when I was a young girl, I have collected some of the books over many years, but it’s great to have the full collection. I shall enjoy reading them all, including those I have read many times previously. Winston Graham researched his books thoroughly, he was able to bring the era alive with his writings, once I start to read his stories I can’t put the book down. If no one has read his books before I would highly recommend starting with his Poldark collection.

This set of books traces the life of Ross Poldark that we all know and love AND not in old English writing. the stories are written in a beautiful flowing way that we can all understand. There are books for each character that bring the stories to life. It is good to have seen the programmes or the DVDs first so that faces can be put to words but even without those the books can bring the places and times in to your head without any difficulty at all. They are so well written that anyone can place Poldark and his associates in to their time and place. I loved these books.
