It makes fresh popcorn quickly, and the finished popcorn tastes much better than microwave popcorn.The machine is easy to operate and clean, making it perfect for family movie nights, parties, or entertaining guests. I don't review everything, but this little popper works perfectly. Pop the plastic piece on top and it's ready to go. The measuring scoop also plugs the hole on top, so don't forget to put it back in after pouring the corn in. Put a little butter in it before turning it off, it melts it and is ready to pour. Takes a couple minutes, leaves a few kernels like every method, but nothing sticks to it. It's loud, but air poppers are. Also, no auto-shutoff, stick around while it's popping. My only suggestion is something for cord storage, I don't leave it on the counter.

So easy! Pops great popcorn very easily and with very minimal cleanup.The butter dish on top isn’t super functional as it doesn’t get hot enough to melt it in the same time as it takes to pop the popcorn. Just melt the butter in the microwave.

Works well and makes popcorn quickly. The only downside is that a few kernels and some popcorn can pop out while it’s running, but overall it’s a great popcorn maker.

I gave this 5 stars because it does what it advertises, it is quick, one heaping measuring cup fills a 5-quart mixing bowl with popcorn, it is easy to fill, clean up takes about 5 seconds, its compact, and the price is right.Some comments. Be careful because it is quite hot after use, as warned in the instructions. I mention this, because one does not expect a thin plastic item to be that hot. When all the corn is popped, I turn off the button and go about adding butter and some salt to the popcorn then sit and enjoy it. Later I come back for my 5 second clean up. It is inefficient to melt the butter in the measuring cup, I use a paper bowl in the micro, easy and no clean up. I have been on a low carb diet for a year, and this is my go-to snack. Use it about every two days. It does shoot some popped and unpopped corn around the countertop, but I don’t find it to be bothersome.There is only one item that slightly bothers me, and that is the two plastic clips that attach the plastic top to the base. They seem to be somewhat fragile. And therefore, I am careful when I attach the top to the base.One year update: I have used this popcorn maker 3 times a week for over a year, and it still works well. However, the weak part of the unit as I mentioned before is the plastic clips/prongs that attach the lid to the base. Although I took great care, eventually all the prongs broke off. The lid can still rest on the base, but there is a definite possibility that the lid might fall off during the popping. I simply placed a heavy weight in the measuring cup unit in the lid, and I continue to keep popping corn. I still highly recommend it because of its ease of use and cleanup and low price. I see no problem in buying a new unit once a year if desired, but for now I am happy with my jury-rigged solution. Note: As I mentioned before, popcorn is the only snack I allow myself; lost 40 pounds so far.

The popcorn maker was fantastic and did a great job. But the top lid developed bubbles after the first few uses. Reached out to Dash support who were helpful, and Amazon sent out a replacement. Even the replacement had the same issue with bubbles forming on top lid!Reached out to Dash support again who suggested a few possible reasons like putting the lid in microwave or dishwasher (neither of which I had done), not filling the lid enough. The last one was interesting as I was only using 36 grams/1 serving which is less than half of the lid size.Ended up returning even the second one. And got a Dash Turbo, which is a newer model but also smaller (8 cups vs 16 cups) Used the Turbo twice now, with no lid bubble issues!Tl;dr - If you buy this, make sure to fill till at least halfway of the measuring lid. Besides this, it’s a great product to make low calorie popcorn!

This little popcorn maker has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen gadgets! It’s simple to use—just add your popcorn kernels, and while the popcorn is popping, you can place butter in the tray on top. The heat from the machine melts the butter, so when the popcorn is finished, you simply pour the warm melted butter right over it.I love that it makes fresh popcorn without needing oil, and it’s so much healthier than microwave popcorn. It pops quickly, is easy to clean, and the fresh popcorn tastes wonderful.The retro design is adorable and adds a fun, old-fashioned touch to movie nights. This is my second one in three years. It has the same problem that the old Hamilton Beach air poppers used to have, and that's its only drawback. It's easier to clean than the Hamilton Beach, it's definitely made out of less plastic parts, and the butter tray on top is quite sufficient.Brace it if you're doing this on a countertop. It wants to wander when it's running. And I do wish somebody would use a higher quality of plastic on the top. It doesn't melt and misalign as fast as the old Hamilton beaches did, but after 3 years of doing popcorn twice a week, it malformed to the point the things no longer sealed right, which accelerates the malformation of the plastic.But here I am getting another one, because it's cheap and it works. But given that it's just basically a hair dryer, and none of the hair dryer plastic melts, I'm guessing you just can't make that plastic clear. Such a shame. I assume I'll be getting another one in 3 years.(This may seem like Petty complaints, but it was enough to take a star off. And yet I'll probably buy it again)

As soon as it was turned it I could smell burning. I left it for another minute and then it started smoking and turned off. Sent back for a refund. Do not buy

I have had a few hot air popcorn makers during my lifetime. Traditionally, I would make the family popcorn on the stove, using a high smoke point oil. It always turned out great. Having more concerns for unnecessary calories, I now prefer hot air popping. The hot air popper we've had for years, but rarely used, wasn't cutting it anymore, or should I say, popping it. It was time to buy a new one, so I turned to the convenience of Amazon shopping, where I found a prime day deal on the Dash hot air popcorn maker. I am being totally honest when I say, it worked great. I used regular sized kernels as suggested, as the instructions claim regular size produces more fully popped kernels. I only lost three kernels, out of sixteen fully popped cups. Two popped into the bowl, being flushed out with large popping pieces, and the last unpopped kernel, remained in the machine. I used an 11" diameter bowl and did not lose a single fly out one, to the countertop or floor. All kernels popped big and fluffy. I was totally impressed. I didn't use the measuring cup/butter melter, just in case this popper proved to be less than its expectation, and returned. The machine does come with a manufacturer's two year warranty. Hopefully it lasts for many years to come. When and if it does require replacing, I would definitely purchase it again. Hope this information was helpful.

This is very cool, it make the popcorns ready in 2 mins. Good thing no Oil needed just hot air. Smells great when the popcorns are ready.
