When I got the book, I was first taken aback by how small it was and how short some of the items were. (Sometimes, a page is just a sentence long). But then I discovered that this is the strength of this book. To paraphrase Mark Twain: Someone sat down to write a shorter book. You can read through this quickly in on sitting, or just take a look at a topic at a time, taking just a few seconds. In terms of learning value and "bang for the buck", it's probably the best value you will ever see.

Architecture 101
Good book. Easy to read. Took a little longer to read since I looked up many of the buildings listed in each section. I now have a little knowledge of the different architectural types of building structures.

Great overview
Good for reading from time to time. It gives you a very nice chronological view of the history of architecture.

A Lover of Architectural History
The simplicity and comprehensie way in which this very compact summary of Architecture was presented was simply beauiful. I think this book should be a compulsory for every architectural student and a must read for experiened architects who have forgotten the history and development of our profession.

Bad Book Binding
To be clear, this isn't a review of the contents of the book. When it first arrived, it had a poorly glued binding and I ordered a replacement. Today, the replacement came in with the exact same problem as before. I'm disappointed by the condition of the book when ordered brand new.

Good, informative read
I learned a lot from this book and it's a good, broad examination of architectural history. I would recommend reading it with a smart phone, tablet or computer next to you so you can Google search the images of the buildings being discussed in the text as you go. There's a lot of description in the book, but you really need to see photos of the structures and only a handful are provided in the kindle version.
