Oct/Nov 2022: Just what I needed for our outdoor Xmas lights. I will say that I personally struggled to get them to connect via the BN Link app and Alexa. I got frustrated and gave them over to my hubby to mess with. I will say that I am using an iphone 8 and he is using an iphone 12 so that may be the issue as I am usually the more patient one. He was able to get them to connect quickly with no issues and we have them connected to our Alexa. We have no issues, and they are all working great. Cut to November 2024: We have used these plugs for all the major holidays that we decorate the front of our house for the last 2 years. When we decorated for Halloween, I noticed that one of the plugs wasn't working properly so we replaced it, thankfully we had a spare. Now we have decorated for Xmas and one of the other plugs isn't working, not in the same way as the other one stopped working. This is one of the three outlets of the plug isn't working as it should. If you wiggle the plug then it will work but that doesn't work for outdoor lighting, so I have decided to replace it. Anyways I still struggled with hooking up the new plugs as before, but I think it is more that I needed to make sure I was using the lower Ghz. Anyways, I will say that I am not happy that I am only getting 2 years of work out of these plugs but when they work properly they are fantastic. And once you get them set up on the BN-Link app, they are super easy to get set up on the Alexa app. So yes I will buy again and clearly I have.

2nd Update: The service behind this company is outstanding. For that alone, you should trust the purchase. I had it working for awhile and then reached out when I had another problem that began to occur. They were attentive and resolved the situation. When the device works, it is great When it doesn't, they are there to take care of it. Normally I would not give 5 stars for a product that I've had issues with but rarely do I see service this good. UPDATE: After a week of it working, the app has disconnected from Google and I can no longer control with google. The plug also disconnects from the app in both android and IOS so that I have to keep the app open for 10 seconds and refresh it to get the plug to be seen again. Instructions are laughably poor. I have a house full of smart home devices and this one was the 2nd hardest to setup. It could have been so much easier. First, you have to download an app (smart life) that is good but yet another app to install. The app is wonky during setup and the instructions don't help much. It took me about 20 attempts to get it working but I did finally get it working. It involved several resets and attempts. Follow the instructions as best you can and then troubleshoot your way through it with multiple resets. Once it works, it is good. Setup with Google & Alexa is cumbersome but slightly better documented. If the install were more reliable, this is a 5 star product. The install is really bad and frustrating though. I wish I had bought a different product.

I ordered three of these. Yes you must be patient when setting them up, but once you do one the others are quicker. Best to get the app first, then go through the add process as it will walk you through a good procedure. Out of the three, one did not work. Just in convenient really as I bought these for a lighting display. They sent a new one out no issue, and the new one worked without issue. The only thing I will say, and the reason for 4 stars really comes down to this one issue (not withstanding the .5 star I would put on quality), the timer will not synchronize to each device with perfect timing. Each device will turn on one at a time and will be a 5 second or so delay between them, even with the same times set. If that is not an issue for you, then perfect. If it is, this is something that you need to know. For me, it was just a disappointment as I wanted my lights to come on and go off in perfect unison. Yes, I am that guy and accept it. I first bought one of these 2 years ago. I use it about 2 or 3 times a day, every day to turn on five 100w ustellar LED flood lights. Has worked flawlessly ever since. Just bought another one to add more lights to the back of my house. Love the app. Have simplisafe cameras all over the inside and outside of my house and can control the lights with this app from hundreds of miles away, and flip the cameras on the simplisafe app to see my property when I'm away and its night time (the simplisafe cams have a limited range with the built in IR lights). Sorry for the terrible quality camera screen shots. Havent cleaned the pollen off the camera lenses in a week. This outlet plug adapter is friggin awesome! Its simple, it just works. No connection issues ever. Its always connected. My router is completely across the house. I do have a gaming asus router, so the range on it is ridiculously far. So as long as you have a good wifi signal, you won't have a problem. Also, no, it does not control each plug individually. If you need to control 3 different outlets, buy 3 of these items. They are cheap enough. Its also very much weather proof. It has gotten wet occasionally when I power wash. But its stayed on my porch for the past 2 years, so its gotten 100+ degree weather here in GA. Plenty of high humidity, plenty of 20 degree weather, no issues. Also, you can put the app on multiple phones, and log into the same account, and when you press the on button on one phone, it flips to on in real time, on all phones. Its simple, its rugged and it just works, all the time! Just friggin buy one! Buy it now, you will not regret it!!!

I had purchased from this company before and decided to buy two more. The product was different this time, but when I tried to review it I discovered the new product variant was connected to the old products reviews. Please note that the older product reviews are not for this switch, and that is why they are generally positive. If you look at the recent reviews from 2025 which are on the new product, you will see a lot of complaints. Here is my review of the new product model: 1. This switch will not work with the SmartLife app. The older model did, but the current model does not. The new switch does work with the new BN-HUB app which connects them to BN-LINK's cloud. The old app was called BN-LINK, not too confusing since that is the company name. The old app didn't work either. So I am not happy because literally all my other wifi switches and outlet work on SmartLife. 2. They do not work with Alexa. They didn't update the Alexa skill to use BN-HUB, so Alexa automatically selects SmartLife app which I already mentioned does not work. 3. I can turn the switches off and on with the BN-HUB app, so I decided to set a schedule. The schedule ran fine the first day. It turned the lights on as scheduled and it turned them off when scheduled. Since then, they have become erratic. Sometimes one will turn on, but the second will not or visa versa. Sometimes neither will turn on. Sometimes they turn off on schedule, but usually one fails. Every day one or the other switch either fails to turn on or turn off as scheduled. I tried to delete the schedules and create new ones, but the BN-HUB app won't let you delete them. There is no functionality to delete a schedule. 4. I contacted tech support, and they sent me the setup procedure that I already have in the manual that came with the switches. I replied and told them about the Alexa issue, and they said they would refer it to their technical people. Then next day their support sent me the same setup procedure again. This company appears to have lost it's way. It wasn't super good to begin with but their products formerly worked properly. This new model doesn't. I recommend getting a different product. Easy to use, quick connection.

I'm almost embarrassed. I haven't connected my new outlet to the network for almost 6 months because I didn't want to go through the hassle of setting up a 2.4 ghz connection. BUT today I thought I would try just as my network is already set up by default! It worked like a charm setting it up once I brought the outlet inside (close to the modem). I Youtube'd the instructions (because I had long ago lost any packaging the device came with). It connected in under 2 minutes. As noted you cannot control each individual outlet - it's all or nothing. But I'm using it for our landscape lights / car block heater so that's not a problem for us. So if your a TELUS user + you have the newer WHITE modems - I can confirm it works without having to set up a dedicated 2.4 ghz system!

Muy funcionable y en definitiva cumple con las expectativas, solo hay que estar familiarizado con sincronizar equipos con el internet y los medios de conexión de wifi y Bluetooth. La aplicación propia también es muy fácil de programar y usar. Muy recomendable.
