It was originally written to be read in installments. •Keep a running list of the characters and all of their AKA's. some have as many as 4 names, used when they function in different settings. •Watch for humor. the dialogue is hilarious and depicts human behaviour, the same then as now. •Enjoy the double plot as it progresses. •Visualize it like a movie, vast footage of sights streaming by, upon which you will not be tested. •This is a story about a journey taken by a young boy and an old man. Go on the journey with them. You will will arrive at the end a changed person.

AWESOME
This book is really great. Its tough to keep track of all the characters and their different backgrounds and religions, much like I suppose it was for someone living there then. I really enjoyed the book. Kipling is such a good writer. You really see things through Kim's eyes and at the end I actually missed the characters. Awesome book.

Naxos audio book is excellent
It is a joy to hear the full text read so well. I fear other reviews listed beside this book are misfiled and give the wrong impression.
