They're very good beef and chicken mix pickled perfect

The sausages were very tasty and tangy very tangy! Thank you so much for looking out for other people who do not eat certain foods the for sold you could have it enlarged on the gallon or half a gallon or a pint of quart should say no pork, big seller for people who don’t eat pork

Very salty not like regular flavor of these type of sausages. Juice leaked out of the jar all over no seal, not sure if juice leak made it taste saltier. I tried a lot of brands and this one is barely edible. Doesn’t have a chemical taste like some vinegar of other sausages have but the saltiness is worse than the slight chemical taste of the vinegar. I did put them in the fridge first still very mushy, not really a casing outside either. I can deal with a little mushy if they actually tasted ok but these are likely headed to the garbage

These arrived quickly and were definitely a yummy treat! Pickled to perfection and very tasty. However lid was super hard to get open. It felt like had been glued shut. Other than that I would order them again!

This is a revised review. I initially had a very poor rating for this as it arrived in a questionable state. But after having contacted the producer directly, I think I should update the review: The product arrived with a plastic lid and no safety/tamper seal. While this is poor practice by my standard, the producer (Herb's Snack Foods) explained it to me. They have switched from their usual metal, sealed lid jar to a plastic lid/jar as they have had difficulty procuring their usual materials due to COVID shortages. They also specified the lack of a safety/tamper seal as their manufacturing setup isn't equipped for this feature. They explained that the strange interior streaks I found in the jar were a byproduct of the food item (which I figured, but I was sketched-out, initially). They could not, however, explain why there was dirt/grit on the exterior of the jar. So that is the one oddity that will remain from my initial review. Otherwise, good product. Herb's has a good flavor and the heat it much different than something like a Tijuana Mamma. The brine is strong, but if you enjoy pickled sausages (or pickled anything, really), it will be more of a feature than a drawback.

I've ordered these twice, and the first time they were fabulous, this time they had a strange flavor, and seemed a little off. They were in code and it had not been opened. Also was not my previous experience, so it might just have been the container I had.

Not exactly like the 1960s but REALLY GOOD! I remember these from the 1960s - had to have one whenever available (different brand) bigger, different consistency sausage but the taste is pretty close! Otherwise, this would be a 5. Might be after I eat another one...! I'm editing now after eating one a day since these bad boys arrived. AWWWWW. The jar is packed fulllllll and wowzerz. These are good. Really really good. Plenty hot but that's what you want. The taste is - indescribably delicious. I would serve them sliced as hors d'oeuvres if only I had friends who had my taste for such spicy goodness!
