Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased the extra strong coffee by mistake. I usually get the expresso. I called Amazon customer service to see if I could return it. They could not take it back, told me to keep it and gave me a full refund. I had purchased this coffee before from a different seller on another website and the coffee did not taste very good, sort of flat, not rich like I thought it should be. So, when I got this from Amazon, I figured it would be the same. Since they told me to keep it, I decide to use some because I was out of coffee. To my surprise the coffee is delicious, almost as good and rich as the expresso I normally get. If I had tried it before calling Amazon customer service, I would not have tried to return it.

I LOVE Doue Egbert coffee and had been looking for pods. However, these are pads, not pods. The outside of the bag says pads although the ads say pods. There is a difference. What this means is you don't get the full flavor if used in another kinds of one-cup coffee maker where you have to stuff them in. One is insufficient but putting two in does not work at all - it's a waste. However, since my coffee maker came with a filter that you can put regular loose coffee in, we have been cutting these pads open and using them that way. Might require a tiny bit more than one pad to fill the filter (I just add a little regular coffee). It works but I would love it if I could just get regular pods and slip them right in. The coffee flavor is the best I have ever had - I believe I first tasted this brand on a KLM flight to the Netherlands back in the 90's; asked the flight attendant what it was and she just said "regular coffee" nothing special. She was wrong about that - especially if you have ever had any other airline coffee. The Doue Egbert machines make the best coffee; smooth - no acidy taste or feel and yet strong coffee flavor. Too bad they are so rare in the states.

Excellent coffee. I've been ordering this for many years. It's much better than K-cup coffee and more economical. Shipment was on-time.
