Perfection
These were absolutely the accessories I was needing for our front porch. Modern sleek look but sturdy and able to withstand crazy Miswest weather. Love that the top portion can be removed to accommodate a variety of plant/decor sizes. 100% recommend

Beautiful Flower Pot
The copper finish is gorgeous, and the lift-out top box makes planting easy, it is tall enough to place rocks and/or soil in the bottom to keep wind from blowing it over. I placed one on each side of our garage they drew many compliments from our neighbors. The material seems sturdy enough to last for years. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a beautiful addition to your home or garden.

Attracts heat & rust
This is my first time writing a negative review of a product. While I LOVE the appearance of these pots--I really think they are gorgeous and I loved that they are so different from the painted ceramic pots I see on so many porches--I would not purchase them again, for two reasons: (1) My front porch gets afternoon sun. The copper pots seemed to retain heat, and my plants were completely fried all summer. I planted the same plants I've planted for probably 8 years, and in the copper pots, leaves were continually turning brown and dropping. The copper pots might work great in shadier areas or with morning sun, but I would not recommend them with afternoon sun. (2) After just 4 months of use, the pots have rusted out in spots (see pics). I pre-treated the pots prior to using them per the instructions (I believe it was with rustoleum), and was shocked to discover multiple areas on both of my pots where there were holes due to rust. Again, the pots are absolutely beautiful, but I would not spend $500 on these two pots again given these results.

Works well for my needs. Looks great when planted.
I wanted a tall planter but can't move the really heavy one well. I liked the earth tone of the antique copper. I have never had a metallic or shiny planter so was nervous. What made me finally decide to order was the removable insert. So glad I did. Very easy to use/plant though it took the two of us to get it in as the insert was heavier planted. Easy with two to center it just so avoiding a tilt. I've had it in place for 2 months. Planted lime green and dark red coleus with some creeping ground cover: creeping jenny/moneywort adds the spill element. When Planted you don't notice the glare. As it faces east I can't speak to how the heat/direct sun will affect the metal and then the plants. I water every other day in summer. As I'm in CA, I can't talk about freezing weather, but I imagine all frost tolerant plants would be fine. Overall: Just smashing. Worth the high price tag. Tip: we used plastic protective disks (for floors) to keep the metal off the cement, as it is stained. Simple.

How long it will look good in the garden bed
It was beautiful right out of the box. We filled the bottom with bricks. It sits outside and gets morning sun until about 2 p.m. My only worry is that the metal heats up really high in the sun and probably maintains the heat because of the bricks. To counter this I put the styrofoam that the insert came with to line the insert on the sides of the container before I added dirt. I'm hoping this will negate some of the rise in temperature. So far after almost 2 weeks in 90 degrees heat, my soil in the insert has not been excessive! So far, I love this planter! My husband wants another one for the other side of our bed, but I want to see how this one fairs first.

Beautiful Planter
I just received it and am extremely pleased! It is beautiful! I love the insert so you can place a potted plant right into the planter.
