Precision Electronics Repair Tool Kit with Phillips, Slotted, Torx Security and Pentalobe Screwdrivers (23 Piece)

I needed to crack open my laptop due to over heating issues and the one thing I needed was the right screw drivers to be able to do that. I searched high and low for a kit and I stumbled upon this screwdriver set. There are screw drivers of all difference sizes and for every single type of screw that I needed for my laptop. Every different screw you could think of, it was contained in this kit. Now, 5 years later, I still have the kit and it still works, it did not get rusty, and the case is holding up pretty well. I would definitely recommend using this kit.

I went ahead and bought another set of these due to the low Amazon prime price and free shipping. I already own a set that I use at my shop. Now I will have a set to take with me on the road. I work on laptops and small hand held electronics all the time, but I have found the 20-30-40-50 bit kits lack something that this toolset gives me, and that is the length needed to get down to deeply embedded screws on some laptops. You never really realize you need a long set of screw drivers like this, until you need them. I was working on a customers Dell Laptop yesterday, and the screws on the back end of the laptop were about an inch deep in the case. My regular "Boxer" set of precision drivers just didn't have the length needed to get down to the screw heads and remove the screws. Nothing is as frustrating to me, than my screw driver being too fat, and too short to do the job. These screw drivers have a longer shaft, and none of the "too chubby to fit in that hole" that you get with a multi bit driver set. This is where this tool kit shines, and in my humble opinion, everyone who works on laptops or cell phones needs a set like these. For 10 bucks, free shipping with prime, you can't really go wrong.

This kit is advertised as "for laptops & electronics" and it's adequate for that kind of work, but many laptops (Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, for example) use a Torx T-5 drive (which is quite small). A kit such as this should really include that particular, hard to find driver if it's to be complete. The sizes provided are listed in the product description, so that's not why I gave the kit 4 stars, however. What makes this set less than perfect for me is the swivel tips on the driver handles. These really need to spin freely when you're working with tiny precision machine screws; otherwise, they interfere with your ability to gauge the amount of torque being applied. With these drivers, the swivel cap is very tight, and although it CAN be turned, and would be adequate for larger drivers, it's far too stiff to be useful with tiny delicate machine screws. It's so stiff, in fact, that it might as well not swivel at all. A minor point, perhaps, but enough to make these drivers my second choice if there are others handy with a lighter touch.

The description says it all. Literally just read the description but be warned these precision screwdrivers do not hand force well. In fact the within the first use I managed to break the tip off of two screwdrivers and I'm not some strong burly dude. Seriously though what strong guy would be buying precisions screwdrivers for electronics. I mean have you ever seen some huge buff guy walk into a electronic store and say "Hey where are the smallest dainty most unmanly screwdrivers you have?". If you have seen this happen than you really should spend more time outside of the electronics store, since it sells things that are more unattractive than whats inside a sex shop. Seriously don't spend anymore time than you have to in an electronics shop (e.g. Radio Shack) it's just depressing I've actually seen someone debating on what HDMI cable to buy to hang themselves with in one of those stores. Believe me its just not worth it. So just buy these cheap mediocre Precision screwdrivers and go on with your completely mundane lives. I'm saying this because you did just read my extremely off topic review of some s***ty screwdrivers that you bought online because you don't have the time to actually go into any hardware store and ask the senile old man working there where they are because then he'll think your a wussy for buying baby screwdrivers.

I purchased this screwdriver set for working on small electronics, like Gameboys and PSPs. I ran into a problem with one of my other screwdriver set not working because it worked off of the interchangeable bit things, so the driver couldn't even make it to the screw on some things (like my PSP). I needed something better--I needed this~!These drivers are magnetic, which is great when trying to get out an awkwardly placed screw, or put one back in.The tops spin, allowing you to apply pressure while turning the driver.And best of all, the drivers are long enough to reach the screws. Yay~!Also, they come in a nice fabric case with some elastic straps to keep them in place. The drivers feel like they're made of good, solid material.Now, my PSP works again. I can't give this screwdriver set all of the credit since it took a lot of online research to take apart a PSP... but it definitely helped! :D Couldn't have done it without this handy set.

I looked at all the similar products and this is the one. For dirt cheap, it's a very nice, very well designed set of precision screwdrivers, and I need the tiny #00 and #000 phillips heads. I've only used it twice so far, but I really have enjoyed the easy to grasp plastic grips, with a nice tactile feel. They are well shaped so that you can really put some force into the screw, with freely turning tops for your thumb to press on. The nice little case is a bonus- and each tool is clearly marked as to what it is. I've never heard of 'Delcast' before, but someone has clearly put some thought into the product design here.The sets with the interchangeable nibs seem like a great idea- until the screw you're trying to remove is down a deep hole. This set has nice long shafts that will get to most anything.If there are better sets out there, you will pay a heck of a lot more for them. 5 stars Delcast!

This set really helped me. I replaced the screen in my old pixel xl and without this it would have been a nightmare.
