Excellent cutters, precision alignment, sharp edges
Excellent for electronics work. Do NOT use these to cut nichrome wire, stainless steel wire, or other very hard wire material as the edges will be damaged. These are designed for copper wire and standard lead conductors on electronic components. The blades match each other perfectly - no light visible between the cutter blades when held up to a lamp. The spring loaded handles fit well in the hand.

Very high quality
Ive bought two pairs of these so far, one for me and one for my uncle. They literally have quality you can feel. The grips are a very nice lightly matted rubber so you can keep a ginger hold on them with ease. They make very nice clean cuts effortlessly. Xuron flush cutters absolutely will be my mainstay for electronic snips. You pay a premium price but you get a quality American made product. Absolutely would recommend these.

It really cuts flat
Discovered this product's name and characteristics as it was mentioned in a bigclivedotcom video on youtube. I had some difficultuy to find the correct reference from the Xuron Website (9200). I have ordered 2 of these, one initially for electornics and then a second one for plastic miniatures (cheaper than the Games Workshop one and probably better). The cut is very flush (compared to a more traditional cutter--a Hakko brand one). It requires a bit of training to use correctly and to keep it very flat when cutting (otherwis each movement generates a small dent). I think that BigClive uses such method with his dept. of Villany LED neon controller video.Only limit: as it is a precision cutter I would not dare cut very hard things such as guitar strings... and rather use a pair of pincers instead.Impossible to get in France (from what I've searched). Had to order from the US but definitly worth it (overpriced in the UK--even with adding customs and shipping) ! Arrived quickly for something that had to cross over the Atlantic.

very nice cutters but cutter heads not ground evenly
I would be giving these 5 stars but upon inspection, the cutter heads are out of alignment. The last pair I had until someone stole them, were perfectly ground smooth. These flush faces are not flush, their is a little edge like they were ground separately then assembled. They do cut fairly clean, but I don't do work under a microscope, if I did I would probably have sent them back to get a replacement set and hope the quality control was better. I cut zip ties and plastic dash kits for clean car audio installation. For the price of shipping back and forth and time lost, I just decided to deal with it.

Great Product
Best pliers ever! Wish I had purchased these a long time ago.

Good quality for the money! Made in USA.
I am normally a Lindstrom user, and am pretty particular about lead trimmers. These are an an excellent product for this price range for electronic prototyping work. Note that these are lead trimmers used for flush-cutting electronic component leads, which are usually mild, un-hardened steel. For piano wire, guitar strings, bolts, etc. this is the wrong type of product. Also note that this design has one cutting edge offset on purpose, to minimize edge wear. They also work well for flush-cutting cable ties, and in a pinch will do a serviceable job on toenails.

The tips are not as sharp as they normally are!
I've bought nothing but Xuron as long as I've made jewelry, and they've always been wonderful. For some reason the tips of these shears aren't sharp. I broke my last pair after using them for 6 years, but the tips on my old pair are sharper than my new pair! I never cut anything thicker than 20 gauge with these pliers, I have a stronger pair of Xuron for thicker gauges.

Very Satisfied
I purchased these to replace a no name pair of wire nippers that no amount of sharpening would enable to cut. I am very satisfied with these. They provide a clean cut with very little effort right up to the tips and enable me to get a nice close cut in a project. I do follow jewelry makers advise of not using the tips for general wire cutting, utilizing that part where its actually needed for close cuts.
