This worked just as it should!I'm no mechanic but this made removing the old ball joins and installing the new one a very easy job. I had more trouble removing old bolts than using this.It's a tool that I may not use again for many years but it saved me hundreds of pounds having the job done at a garage.Would definitely recommend.Good sturdy tool and case.

Used this to remove and fit lower ball joints on my car. I also used this to compress the brake piston when putting the brakes back on, which although I'm not sure it was designed for, it did the job perfectly.Build quality is great, using it is a bit knacky, but once you work out which of the various bits that comes with it you need for a particular job you'll have no trouble.Pro tip: if you're struggling to remove a ball joint with this, put the nut back on the ball joint and then use this. You can also use a large socket to push on the ball joint. This will make sense when you have it in front of you. This isn't a fault with the press, it's just that not all ball joints are the same so you sometimes need to work around issues with things not quite fitting right. The tool itself did the job on the old ball joints without a workaround, but when I needed to pop the new one out again I needed to use these workarounds to do it.

Used this product to remove and refit bushings on my VW Golf control arms, including removing the ball joints - worked exactly as intended. Used with both a manual wrench and an impact driver and both worked a treat. I probably wouldn’t use an impact driver regularly though to improve longevity of the tool.Very stout build quality, the carry case seems sturdy too.The only thing I would say to be aware of is you may feel a little restricted for space with this tool - once you’ve fitted the required adapters and what not into the G clamp, there’s only 50-80mm to get your bushing and/or suspension part into, depending on what adapters you’re using and whether you’re pushing in or extracting bushes. Worked great for my application, but these were small bushes and I had the luxury of fitting them off the vehicle.

For the price this is a good home mechanic investment, I didn't use it to extract the ball joint and would probably fall back on brute force/big hammer/heat where necessary but pressing in a new part with the receiver cleaned up was easy.

I bought this kit for self-repair of the suspension from my car. Was impressed with the size of the clamp - in fact, I expected it to be smaller. In general, I am satisfied with this set, because it makes it much easier to work with ball joints.

I used this to remove the front ball joints on a Mercedes 312D sprinter 1998 model although I had to cut the ball joint stem off to fit the supplied bushes over one I had sorted it out there was enough power in this ball joint separator To remove that ball joint which are notoriously stubborn. Yeah although it did flex slightly it still managed to do the job and is still good to do other jobs

It does the job but not the best build quality. One of the mounting bolt’s hadn’t been tapped. Apart from that it works well
