BEST with the most calamine
I’ve been in the unfortunate situation where I’ve been able to try nearly every brand/maker of unna boot available through Amazon. Because of this I have noticed certain aspects of these products that are problematic for my purposes, which the uniformity and equal coverage of zinc/calamine from the beginning to the end is probably the biggest. The other issue that this particular product brought to my attention was the ratio of calamine to zinc. These may not have an excessive amount of the calming/zinc paste, but it’s even from beginning to end. There is also more calamine than any others, which is apparent from the fact that they are actually a pink hue, rather than the typical white that others are (some have no calamine at all). The 4” width makes a huge difference for my long legs and prevents any gaps at the ankle that can be problematic. The only drawback to the quality of these is that they tend to be more expensive by a few dollars than others. But since I’m perpetually using them I can order a few here and there as if they were a special treat (I don’t know how a product that prevents venous stasis ulcer and infections from autoimmune vasculitic neuropathy that causes the skin below my knees to slough off after loosing all moisture could be a “treat”, but I’m sticking by the idea)

Found this after trying many things.
I found this product after researching on my own, trying to find a way for me to stop endlessly scratching the Atopic Neurodermatits that had developed on my leg about 2 years ago. I used it for about 3 weeks (Changing it as directed) and storing the remaining boot in the fridge. NOTHING else has worked for me. I've been on steroids and prednisone. I've used creams. Since I used it last, I have not scratched the area at all. The lesions are slowly healing and fading nicely. I will probably start using it again as winter approaches, since this is when my skin is most sensitive. I do recommend putting a cream such as Cetaphil on the area before applying the boot. I cover it with an ace bandage because the boot is covered in the zinc and calamine. The last time I had used it, I had tears in my eyes because finally, the scratching has stopped. I do recommend seeing a dermatologist before using this product, or using this as a last resort, like I did. I've ordered it twice now and will continue to use it as a back up, in case I do start scratching again.

Excellent product...
Bought this on recommendation of an urgent care doctor when I got second degree burns on the backs of my ankles. I applied my prescribed burn cream on the affected area, then wrapped this boot (basically a heavily damp, thin ace bandage), around the ankles a few times. It seriously helped!! I bought several of these packs at different times and each one was perfectly moist and medicated. If ever I need an unna boot again, I’ll definitely be buying this one.

Definitely helped my daughter's eczema (kept her from scratching as much and also seemed soothing)
Bought this to help treat my daughter's eczema. It did NOT "cure" the eczema (not really sure what will at this point) however, it did greatly help her. Partially, it's just a nice, soothing wrap, partially it's an additional layer that she has a hard time scratching through. She also did not object to these wraps as much as many of the lotions we've tried in the past...It's a moist wrap, so you'll have to store it carefully in a ziploc and get used to the idea that the application is a little messy, but it's overall one of the better treatments we've tried (better than just lotions or creams (aquafor, vaseline, carave, cetaphil, hydrocortizone ointment/cream) and on par with "wet" wraps that we've tried in the past -- but easier to apply).

Excellent product for healing of leg injuries.
The history of these Unna boot wraps goes back 100 years to a wound clinic in Denmark. This is a phenomenal help in healing of leg injuries. This stuff absolutely far and away is the best in my 50+ years experience for accentuating healing ankle and leg injuries.

Not always smooth, but they must help some.
These bandages do seem to help, but they don't go on very smoothly. The sides have no give, but the middle is very stretchy. While you are applying the bandages around the leg, they won't lay smooth and flat. Many wrinkles result which aren't comfortable on my husband's legs. I have to unroll a fair amount of the bandage and try to smooth it slowly and always end up with wrinkles and it drives me crazy. Even so, these are the best that I've been able to find so far, so I've purchased them again.

Always good to have a standby in the emergency kit
This was used by Home Health to help heal broken "blisters" on a lymph edema leg. Always good to have a standby in the emergency kit. Works great to help dry drainage and protect the skin until healed. I will be ordering another one as it is good to have on hand for larger or more extensive "projects".
