Very sturdy grate
This stove grate is very heavy duty. I have been using it in my wood stove all winter. Metal has not degraded it is in as good of shape as the first day I started using it.

Just what I needed
The size is perfect for my small wood burning stove. I don't know how I didn't have one sooner. My fires arr much more efficient now. The price is very reasonable for the high quality.

Better than cast iron.
In the winter, we heat our home with a fireplace. I've burned through 4 cast iron log holders over the years so I thought I'd try steel this time. This log cradle is thick, sturdy, and well-built. It requires no assembly of any kind and is ready to use right out of the box. Split wood lies perfectly solid on this device but you must be careful when using round logs. There is very little taper to the ends of each rail and I've had a couple logs roll off and onto the hearth. We'll just exercise care with regard to the manner in which we use this and we'll hope for longer life than we got from cast iron.

Perfect for wood burning stoves
Fit my stove perfectly. Im looking forward to the ease of start and burn with this allowing for more air fuel via the lower air intake.

Perfect for my patio fireplace
I have a small, wood-burning fireplace on my patio. I have always had a difficult time keeping decent fires burning because the fireplace came with only a flat pan to place the logs on. Hence, unless we kept a large blaze burning, the fire wouldn't do well and would sometimes go out. This little grate lifts my logs a couple of inches above the pan providing excellent air circulation. I can now enjoy small, gentle, evenly-burning fires on those hot evenings when all we want is the ambiance, not a bunch more heat. The grate is surprisingly well made and is as well-constructed as the grate I have in my indoor fireplace. It's my guess that this grate is going to out-live the fireplace itself. This item was a little pricy; however, I write that off to the fact that it's size along, makes it a specialty item.
