Any tips for taking the lid off easily? I love this stuff but man that lid is a fingernail bender.

I used a large flathead screwdriver or a paint can opener. Then I stood on container to make sure it sealed ok, I could hear it snap close.

Is it ok to use fiber tape before applying the dap inc 18746 alex plus quart spackling?

Yep. Apply this thickly and feather out smoothly, you need to do the least amount of sanding after as there’s a possibility of the patch showing through the spackle.

Does this require priming? The label says "superior paintability" and won't flash. Thanks in advance.

I painted directly over it and didn't have any pealing issues.
