Gilmour Single Outlet Electronic Water Timer for Garden Hose, Irrigation Timer for Sprinklers and Drip Lines, Blue

I’m a professional and this is the best all around faucet timers I’ve used. Controls are very simple and versatile. Faucet connector is durable with a brass insert, and housing and buttons feel solid and long lasting. Has hose thread instead of pipe thread on the outlet (which some have.) Mostly it’s intuitive. I have spent a half hour trying to figure out a clients faucet timer with no manual, total nightmare. This one took 3 minutes to figures out and set without a manual when it arrived. Also, it’s set up based on days not days of the week. This allows you to water every two days three days etc. timers that use day of the week are terrible because if you water twice a week you end up watering every two days and then every three days, which makes no sense. My only complaint (listen up Gilmour!) is they it doesn’t have a hinged plastic timer as others do. I have not had one fail yet, but it seems inevitable that with the sun beating down on the exposed face you’ll run into trouble eventually.) install it in a shady spot if possible.

This timer outlet has performed excellently. The ease of settings and reliability has been great. Not sure how long it will last, but for a couple of growing seasons it's been all that was hoped for. This product has received high ratings in the past, so it can probably be considered a go-to product for this category of timed irrigation. Manufacturer should not change anything.

This, along with a drip irrigation system, kept all of our plants alive for a 5 day trip. The timer works flawlessly, programming it is self explanatory, didn't even need the instructions.

This unit is great for the price, very easy to use and understand. My only suggestion would be to make the maximum frequency more often than every 6 hours. When seeding new grass, every 3-4 hours is ideal. And, secondly, here's not a "Day only" option so you wind up with maybe a watering at 5pm, 11pm, then 5am. Which isn't ideal and does cause some soggy areas.

I bought this product close to a year ago when I decided to use drip irrigation for my pots and plants. Easy to use and easy to install and did what it is supposed to do. Very recently the display started to give up. I checked my order status and saw that I still have one month left on the warranty. So decided to reach out their support team. Went to their website and saw a section for warranty claim. Filled all the required information and then heard nothing for few days. I thought it not going to work and won't get anything, but then I got surprised to see an email a few days later that they have shipped the replacement piece. I was totally impressed and was also pleased to see that the company is ready to stand behind their products and customers.

This is simple to use and hopefully it will last as long than as another one I had. I am replacing one that I’ve used for 5 years.

Do Not Buy. I owned two of these timer for their affordability but alas both failed in serious ways within a year. One unit failed to turn OFF on three occasions after the programmed daily 10 min watering routine of my backyard. The reason I am writing this review is because last straw was I was away on work travel and came back two days to a flooded backyard and an almost flooded house with ungodly amount of water released through this failed timer. The second unit for my front yard has the LCD screen stop working even with new batteries within two months. It became hard to read with dim readings and later some leds failed completely...like an digital 8 displayed as a digital 3 or 5 or some other non number. The battery life diminished over course of four months, where I had to replace was every month. I contacted the company who quickly replaced my first unit failure with a completely different model which in retrospect seems to indicate they knew about failure rates of this model design. I contacted them about the second unit failure and they said they shipped a replacement but according to tracking number they provided never delivered. They didn't respond to my followup of their attempted resolution 6 weeks later. Overall it is an unreliable product, especially when it's happened multiple times... And it's main function is to avoid monitoring watering schedules. So I'm leaving a review for others to avoid this product and avoid serious future headaches. It's failed twice, the failure is repeatable. I barely avoided a catastrophe of house flooding which shouldnt even be a consideration. Therefore one star. Not functional. Poor battery life. Poor design and usability.

Been running this bad boy TWICE A DAY for 5 YEARS in the garden. Runs like a top. And hats off to the sparky that designed the board. Pretty sure its had the same double A batteries in it the whole time.

The price I paid was a bargain compared the higher prices I paid for a Gardena and an Orbit water timer. The Gilmour water timer seemed sturdy with some metal material for the connector, not just plastic. It was very easy to program. I would buy this item again.

Este producto es lo mas fácil de usar, la realidad es que funciona buy bien, mi única queja es que el paquete venia abierto, supuse que seria de que lo probaron antes, aunque si pensé que había sido una devolución y me habían dado un producto así, les di el beneficio de la duda y lo probe y al final decidí quedarme con el debido a que funciono todo perfectamente.

This timer works very well. No leaks, easy to set up. I was hoping to be able to set up based on the day of the week - Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. No provision for that, but can be set to every second day or whatever, which actually makes more sense than specific days of the week.

Me sirvió perfecto para lo que es, 0 fugas, funciona como debe. De las pilas no puedo decir mucho, yo tengo unas recargables pero la verdad muy viejitas y que no usaba, entonces me duran súper poco, de que 2 semanas, pero estoy seguro que deben ser las pilas.

Tengo más de un mes usándolo y funciona perfecto. No tiene fugas y es fácil de programar. Le cambié el empaque que traía por otro convencional, sin la malla, y funciona muy bien. Por si acaso lo tengo protegido del sol, que aquí es muy, muy intenso; simplemente le puse una maceta al revés, para cubrirlo. Lo recomiendo bastante. Es un producto muy práctico.
