We inherited multiple gallons of paint from former owners when we bought our place. These crystals worked perfectly on paint whether it was new or over 10 years old. So much easier and cleaner than lugging bags of kitty litter. Cost seems a little high but it was a better price than their competitors and in the end I was happy to pay for the convenience. I would buy again for sure.

Worked like a charm! The only recommendation I have is to add stir sticks to the package.

I had a bunch of paint to harden doing a house/shed cleanout. This stuff worked pretty well and fast, but is pretty pricey.

I had 20 year old oil paint which i would use on my cedar siding. The instructions said it could work in oil paint but i had already put some cat litter in the paint can which i believe may have soaked the oil out of the paint but didn’t work to dry it out. I put this whole packet into the 1 gallon can and started to stir. In about 3 or 4 rotations it hardened like concrete and i could not remove the paint stirer. This stuff is great and i would recommend it but take into account that i did use cat litter first and i did use the whole packet into one can.

I purchased two of these, as I had 1 gallon (2/3) full, and 1 quart of paint to dry. The package says that it will dry up to 2/3 gallon of paint, so the two packages should have been more than enough. I put an entire package in the (not full) gallon, and half of the 2nd package in the quart of paint. The quart dried fairly well, but the 2/3 gallon was not even close to hard and still wasn't hard after putting in the other 1/2 of the 2nd package. Disappointed in this product. Should have just bought kitty litter.

This is the easiest, cheapest and best way to get rid of water based paint. I keep buying it
