Marvel Legends Series 6" Family Matters 3 Pack with Magneto, Quicksilver, & Scarlet Witch Action Figures (Amazon Exclusive)

This Marvel legends 3-pack is a must buy for X-men fans and a great addition for anyone collecting comic book figures. I bought this set primarily to have a classic Magneto in my collection but Scarlet Witch might be the best figure in the pack.X-men fans have been clamoring for a new Classic Magneto figure. The previous version had weird proportions and poor sculpting. This figure, while a big jump forward, is still not perfect. The helmet is a bit too tall on both heads and the bright red doesn't match exactly with the red used throughout the body. Looking straight on, the head shape does feel off but it actually looks great when placed in on a flight or at an angle. This Magneto comes with a pair of the usual hex styled power effects (the same effect that came with Havok but in purple) as well as interchangeable action hands/fists and a second white eyed and grimacing action head. The cape is nearly (if not exactly) the same as the previous Magneto so it can get in the way of posing it on a shelf. The helmet-less Magneto head from the Apocalypse wave release does fit on this figure as well as the power effect hands that came with that figure. While it's not perfect, this is by far the best iteration we've gotten of classic Magneto at 1/12 scale.Quicksilver is nearly perfect. He has a great sculpt, classic design, and very good articulation. He comes with a interchangeable running hands and fists. The hair has a bit of separation from the headsculpt and the paint apps can get a touch spotty in and around the lightning bolts pattern but as long as the jagged edges aren't disrupted the pattern is still the dominant visual on his costume. The great articulation on this figure allows him to hold some fun running poses if you're displaying him in a collection or allow for some great action play if a kid is going to be running him into battle.Scarlet Witch is amazing. This is easily one of the best designed heads in the Marvel Legends line. The sculpt and paint detailing are fabulous...she looks as if they pulled her right off of a comic book page. The head/neck articulation does suffer a bit because of the big hair but that's definitely worth the sacrifice to get the detailed look they've give her. The cape is also rubbery plastic and will get in the way but it's sturdy. Hasbro is still struggling with articulation in female figures but she's got enough to get by. She comes with 2 power effects pieces. This figure will easily be the standard Scarlet Witch figure for years to come and looks great alongside any X-men or Avengers collection.

This is a really good set, absoulety good figures through and through. I do have come issue's though with the paint on quick slivers chest and back also i really hate that there's another plug under magentos cape, makes it more difficult to port the first one in and to make it stay on him. Last complaint if you will is i wish they used the sunfire mold instead of the spider U.K. one for magento due to the shoulders and knees. Overall this is a really nice set, great to have all these character's in updated figure form. Absouletley love the whited out eye's head for magneto, think scarlet witch looks gorgeous i mean yeah that's all i really got to say, definetly getting your're money's worth out of this.

I was really surprised by how much I like the whole 3 pack. With Scarlet Witch and Magneto both having a pretty good Hasbro made figure out there I was expecting to only be getting this to finally have a Quicksilver. Each figure is great and in the case of Scarlet Witch and Magneto, they have both gotten substantial updates from previous releases. Wanda's hair and face sculpt are outstanding. Erick comes with a really cool swappable "power" head and the details on his cape are really cool. And yes, Quicksilver is awesome. He's that pizza spiderman body, but that totally works for him. His head sculpt is cool with a nice smirk for an expression continues Hasbro's commitment to adding some personality to their figures. I highly recommend this.

I got this during a deal day on Amazon and was excited to get a great deal on it. It is a very straight up rendition of one of the Marvel family legacies, depending on who and when the story telling is being done. Are they still related or not related anymore? I would have been more stoked if Quicksilver was in his traditional first appearance green instead of blue costume but am thrilled to have him none the less. Maybe Marvel will correct that with another set and include his now ex-wife Crystal of the Inhumans who STILL has never been presented and include their daughter Luna and Maybe Lockjaw. Now that would be amazing.

I really enjoy two out of three of these exclusive I'm going to do 3 quick reviews on each of these figures first one that I least like and is not by much is Magneto he has his flaws so I'll go over those first his first flaw is on purple coloration of the paint apps seemed very rush where can see through it it's like they didn't go through if an extra coat of paint on the second flaw is his cumbersome cape it really hinders his ability to stand properly. pros of the figure is that Magneto comes with two extra heads his menacing look when he's using his magnetic abilities some plain head which really doesn't have any characteristics of emotion or personality. He comes with two effects purple like bubble effects and two sets of hands close hand Fist and ripping gesture Motion Set the second figure is Scarlet Witch which is arguably the best figure of this pack she has a great head sculpt it's really well done the paint apps are fine for what it is they're very glossy and she can stand what's the previous Scarlet Witch figure I came out 3 or 4 years ago was not able to she comes two effects nothing too special. Quicksilver is okay he seems to really have nothing to compliment his abilities as a mutant superhero villain aside from his design face has more personality than the other two figures. but it doesn't offer anything more than that. The body sculpt used to create him is something that would be used for a Spider-Man figure of the more recent variety and you can just put them in a run poses is there really nothing more to him the pain apps for nice and basic too I guess. I would purchase this set if you are looking to round out your Brotherhood of evil mutants or trying to round up a classic Avengers lineup
