Saved me thousands of $$. These are a must have if driving off road at all in the desert. I got stuck in deep sand of a dry wash many miles from civilization in Arizona. I don’t even know if I could find a company willing to toe me out. I bought these a couple years ago to keep in the truck exactly for emergencies like this. I put one on and got unstuck immediately. One watch out is to take it off immediately after getting unstuck. I left mine on for about 2000 meters before the strap broke. Shame on me. The device served its purpose.

We got hit by hurricanes Helene and Milton back to back while living directly on the Gulf of America. These storms sent over 4 feet of sand throughout the entire first floor of our home. While I had previously purchased a John Deere 1025R for property maintenance, even with the 4 wheel drive I had a very hard time traveling through the sand. SO, I ordered the "TRAC GRABBER STRAPS" from Trac Grabber LLC. At first I bought the small ones figuring my small tractor wouldn't need the big ones - but it did. No problem, they exchanged them immediately. After months of daily use (where they do help keep me from getting stuck all the time), one of the straps broke. Any other company would say; "You wore them out...Buy a new set...How can you expect them to move an entire beach from your home etc..." JIM PERRY at Trac Grabber LLC said send me a picture and I'll send you a new strap. He also provided advice as to how to keep breakage from occurring again. What a guy! I work for a FedEx subcontractor. They don't provide much for us to get unstuck in the snow, just a shovel and some grit. I bought these to help me get unstuck. Yesterday I got stuck twice. Both times, I used these on the truck to help me get out. The first time, my front wheels went over the edge of a driveway and I couldn't back out. At first, they didn't really help because there was so much ice under the snow. I added some grit for more traction and was able to back out. I know I would not have gotten out without these. The second time I got stuck, I accidentally plowed into a snowbank and my front end was really stuck. I had to do a lot of digging to get the front loose. On my first try with these, I used one on each side of the truck. This truck has dual tires on the back. The trackgrabbers wouldn't catch on the ice under the snow. I finally ended up putting them both on the right side rear tire along with a lot of grit and was able to get out. I'm impressed that they actually worked on this large truck. Be aware that if there is ice under the snow, they will just slide over the ice, thus the 4 star rating. You will need to have to add something for them to get some traction. PLEASE NOTE: If you accidentally put these next to your valve stem like I did, it WILL rip your valve stem off.

My pickup truck was parked on a thick layer of ice in my yard, and it sank after a week or so of sun/thaw/pressure so that the wheels were sitting in nice little ice-cups. I tried chipping the ice out, using sand, boards, hay etc. I didn't have tire chains, but that was my last option. While searching for chains I found these. After reading some Amazon reviews I decided to give them a shot. At 1/2 the price of chains, they appealed to my penny pinching instincts. Given that I only needed them to get unstuck, doubly so. Putting these on was super easy. My truck has the custom wheels with the big star pattern with big gaps that are easy to reach through. I just threaded these around each of the rear rims/tires and strapped them tight. I fired up the truck, and within seconds I was out of my ice-cups and unstuck! These seem like they would work in most situations i've been in where I was stuck with tires spinning. When I was considering buying them, I was worried about the quality of construction, from the pictures the straps looked flimsy. Well, I was wrong! The straps are very heavy nylon webbing like you'd use for a tow-strap. The d-ring buckles are heavy duty as well, and these things are built tough. This was an excellent investment. Good design, Good performance.

UPDATE: Have used this product on four different times. Never got unstuck. There are times in mud that I've come close to getting stuck but was able to get out by rocking back and forth and turning the wheels left and right. I'm dropping the original 2 stars to a 1 star because I just realized that one of the videos put out there by the company shows a truck being stuck with the rear wheels spinning but you can see the front wheels aren't powered. So it was in 2wd. But then they slap the Trac grabbers on and it shows the front wheels spinning. If all four wheels are stuck spinning with off road tires then this product will not get you out. Reviews for this product are horribly un informative. Most scenarios are for situations that are barely considered off roading. Nothing to test the extremes to see when the product will fail. So I decided to try it out and give you guys a report. SCENARIO: Had been raining for a few days and so I took the truck out to a local field where I've been to and know of a couple of ruts with slick clay mud. I put the truck a couple of feet past the edge to intentionally stop and try to get stuck. The clay mud soon filled the grooves of my mud tires and the truck began to slip and couldn't get out. Perfect! So I get out and strap on the Trac Grabbers. I start to back up slowly... Presto! Nothing. It didn't move at all. In fact, all I did was spin the tires and dug myself deeper into the mud and high centered myself. Got so bad that the pumpkin dug itself about 3-6 inches into the dirt. Had to get a shovel and clear some dirt away before my friend had to pull me out. DOES IT WORK?: Maybe, depending on the type of mud but I've only ever been stuck in slick clay mud. If there is any dirt or rough terrain mixed into it I've never been stuck so it leads me to the conclusion that if you take care to do two things you will never need this product. 1.) Mud terrain tires and 2.) Never go through any terrain that can leave you high centered because once you're high centered these grabbers will likely just dig you in deeper. FINAL JUDGMENT: Probably would be good for two types of vehicles. 1.) Passenger car on hard ice (forget deep powder snow you'll probably never have enough traction to get out), and 2.) Trucks that have highway tires that occasionally go on dirt roads that get rained on. Why Two Star? It probably works but as an advertised self recovery device for offroad use... I wouldn't trust it off road on anything more than slightly muddy terrain. If you got MT tires and those tires fail on you then Trac grabber will do jack for you. List of Recovery Devices in Order of Usefulness: 1.) Winch (Wheel Winch if you can find a distributor) 2.) Shovel 3.) Hi Lift Jack 4.) Traction pad and/or a few bags of sand Tow straps 17.) Trac Grabber

These things work great!!! I originally get these for my wife in case she got stuck in the snow; they looked fast and easy to put on but I ended up getting stuck and it was a perfect test for these, they worked GREAT! Ok, they are not magical, but they do work great…My nephew got his BMW stuck in a snow drift (up to mid door), I went around him in my F150 (4WD) and got stuck too. I attached these grabbers in less than a minute and was able to get myself out pretty easily…again, they aren’t magic, it took some spinning and back and forth but they “chunked” me out in a couple of minutes, I was then able to pull my nephew out too. Getting these off the tire is another story!! After the spinning tires put some torque on these the straps were so tight you WILL NOT get them off with just your bare hands…I used a flat tip screwdriver and a small sledge to wedge the screwdriver between the metal buckles to loosen the cinch on the straps, once loosened a little you can get them off with bare hands so keep a screwdriver and mini sledge handy with these straps and you’ll be all set. I also had a set of tire chains in my truck I debated on using….these straps are WAY FASTER AND EASIER THAN TIRE CHAINS. I would recommend these to anyone…I’ll be getting another set for my Expedition.

This is a unique product that will work if your soft terrain isn't too deep, it works well at my local brush dump where I'm just driving over slippery vegetation but solid ground underneath but doesn't seem like they would be effective in deeper mud or snow...They install and remove easily on my 2wd pickup truck ..Only giving 3 stars because these are WAY overpriced, Harbor freight could sell these for around $20, perhaps they should, I probably buy more at a realistic price,

I didn’t get to use them for snow or ice but I did get stuck in some really slick mud and these got me out and back up to the hard road. I have a two wheel drive truck and slid off onto some grass which immediately turned into mud and I was so impressed these got my truck out.

Very good purchase will be very helpful during the winters in Canada heavy duty very sturdy

Look to be good quality, well made and substantial! Hope I don’t have to find out if they work too soon!

Saved several hunting and fishing trips from deep mud and crusty snow drifts. I don’t leave home without em.

I have not been stuck yet so I have not used these, so I can only review the quality of the construction. They are small enough in their drawstring bag to keep under your seat. The strap and D-rings are heavy duty and the blocks seems to be of high quality rubber. I added ice racing screws to mine, two rows down the center ridges, because the only times I have been stuck have been in well polished ice covered ruts. The company might consider adding some studs to the design. If I get the chance to use them I will update this review.

Seem really well made/sturdy, haven't use them yet!
