Wow, Impressed!
This item worked perfectly on a hiking trip where we got caught in a downpour! I went with the recommendation to buy a size up and Iโm glad I did because the size of my actual backpack wouldnโt have fit. This went over my backpack quickly and it kept my bag completely dry, which was important because I was carrying my very expensive DSLR that day and the rain was not suppose to come until much later in the day! At the first sign of rain, we stopped and I grabbed this, out my camera in my backpack and put this on my bag for the first time. At first, I thought I did it wrong because the buckle seemed look like it would make my backpack straps not work, but it was fine when I put it back on. The water repelled off of it and the cover didnโt budge or need readjusting at all! Iโm so impressed! When we got back to our car about an hour after the rain started, I anxiously checked my backpack under it and was impressed to find it not even a little bit damp (only my backpackโs straps were wet since they werenโt covered). The cover dried quickly since it repelled the water and it was easy to add it back into the ouch it arrived in. One of the best purchases Iโve made for my hiking bag!

READ BEFORE YOU BUY (UPDATED)
As a college student, I like products that offer reliability at an affordable price. While it is not always possible, from time to time I will come across a product that meets all the criteria. This was one of them. So why the 3 star rating? The product does what it's supposed to do-it keeps water out. (I tested it by pouring an entire water bottle which slid graciously off the material. Not one drop went through.) The problem was the sizing. I measured my backpack and added an extra inch to make sure the product fit. I even followed another reviewer who said to size up and ordered the 40-50L thinking it would fit just fine as it was a size bigger than the recommended option. Needless to say, it was too small. Sure it fit just fine BUT only if my bag is empty and I squeeze all the air out. If I add my laptop and 1 inch binder, then the sides aren't long enough to cover my bag. Considering I followed their chart and even went as far as upsizing, I was quite dissapointed. Sure, I reccomend the product but you might want to think twice about tje size you opt for. Update: The company contacted me immediately after posting my review. They sent a replacement free of charge along with an apology. The new size fit perfecly. My bag is no fully protected. I am very satisfied with the product and their customer service.

Great inexpensive backpack cover!
Perfect for my backpack. I live in Seattle, so having a rain cover for commuting is a must! This is easy to use and keeps my stuff dry. I really appreciate the strap across the top that keeps it in place...makes me feel confident the cover won't come off. Got a second one for my middle schooler as well!

Lightweight, 40-50L perfect for Farpoint 40!
I was torn between the 30-40L or 40-50L for my Osprey Farpoint/Fairview 40, and can confidently say that the 40-50L cover is the way to go. If you pack the bag to its fullest, the cover fits snug (maybe leaving a small amount peeking out the long sides). If you plan to hang or strap a lot to your pack, or want a cover that can accommodate both a 40L and 50L bag, then the 50-60L size cover is probably more appropriately versatile (if a touch oversized for most 40L packs on their own). The cover weighs NOTHING, packs smaller than expected, and still feels high quality (great if you're a lightweight packer). The buckled strap is extremely useful for that dreaded slip-off concern. It comes in a plastic carrying bag that doubles as an adequate "waterproof" bag for your phone (better than nothing, and I appreciate the multi-function utility) - the carbiner it came with broke pretty much immediately, though that's easy to replace.

Great Design
This cover has an excellent and easy to use design. Did not get to test much of the water proofing ability besides some snow but it seemed to shed water well. My only complaint is that it needs to be made of a tougher or thicker material. After 1 weekend backpacking trip I have some holes in it from leaning my bag against some rocks despite being very careful not to tear the material. It was fine setting the back in the dirt and snow but any abrasive material and it seemed to tear fairly easy. UPDATE: Gryps-Us reached out to me of their own accord apologizing for the issue I had and offered to send me 2 replacements. That is excellent customer service! As I stated above I really like the design of these covers, it fits my 65L bag perfect. The buckles at the top mean that you can lift the bottom out of the way to access pockets without completely removing the cover and then easily wrap it back around your bag. Needless to say, I canโt wait to get back out on the trails with the new cover! Thank you Gryps-US!

Does the trick!
Had no idea what to expect when I bought the 60-70L size for my Swiss Gear back pack which measures approx: 20"x16"x10". The cover fits with room to spare, but is tight enough with the elastic around the edge of the cover to stay on over my bag. The clip/strap gives me peace of mind knowing it will stay on. Used it in the rain today while hiking across Central Park (lol) and it worked beautifully keeping my bag dry. Happy with this purchase...and it comes inside a small clear plastic bag/case to keep your cell phone dry as well. The material also isn't noisy or wasn't loud enough to make me take notice of it (which I usually do with many items). Happy with this purchase and it came quickly too! UPDATE: A year later and I'm SUPER HAPPY with my purchase! I've used it almost daily for the last month for other purposes than rain, and it has held up beautifully! I love finding products I'm pleased with and happily recommend this item!

Good product that is Worth your money
Purchased this for my Granddaughter to use on a pack trip in South America. She said it worked well, covered her pack and provided the needed protection during the rain/mist that they encountered. It was well made of good quality material, adjusted to her pack easily, and was simple to put on and removed when necessary.

So far, so good
Got this to protect my leather Coach backpack from the Pacific Northwest rain. I commute via bus and have to walk in the rain to and from the stops every day, so I tend to get pretty damp. Have been using the cover for about two weeks combined with a "Repel Windproof Travel Umbrella" and have had great results so far. Haven't gotten caught in a torrential downpour yet, so not sure how it will hold up in that scenario, but it's easy to get on and off the bag, has a buckle to secure it so I know it's not going to fall off while I'm not looking and is very compact and lightweight. One thing to note is that the sizing chart on the site is a bit off. The measurements for my bag are 13 3/4" (L) x 18" (H) x 6 1/2" (W), so based on this, I originally ordered the 15 - 25L, which says it should fit (Height: 13.5 - 18.5in, Length: 11.8 - 14.6in, Width: 5.9 - 7.9in). But when it arrived, it definitely didn't fit. The company was kind enough to ship out a replacement very quickly, but just note that you might want to size up one from what the chart says.

Stays Dry
As soon as I opened the item, I ran it under a shower / tap. No water got through and ran straight off the cover, leaving it instantly dry. Fits my bag perfectly and the colour is an exact match. Very light weight. I like the little case it comes with too.

Definitely waterproof
Used this in an English rain storm while outside over three days, water did not get under the cover, I have not used it while walking only stationery. I'm happy with my purchase as I works as expected.

Expensive. Not value for money
I think it is expensive and not great quality. Stitches torn in a week.
