Better than Apple’s battery case
Ignore the negative reviews. This does not use some proprietary port, it uses a standard USB-C which makes it so you can charge your phone with the standard port of non-Apple phones. This gives more options, not less. Alternatively wireless charging still works (and if you don’t have a wireless charger on your night stand to set your phone on before you go to bed, get with the times). Now, on to why it is better than Apple’s case: the design lines are way smoother (not just an awkward rectangle bump), it’s 2000mah versus 1369mah for Apple, because the battery does not cover the lightning port in the phone (so when the battery in the phone case dies it is possible to directly charge the phone first), and last but certainly not least the entire case is hard plastic (versus Apple where the top is just silicone) and has no weak points (which for the Apple case is a huge drawback since it is possible you will need to remove the case if both case and phone battery die). Anyway, i bought this case to replace the Apple one that lasted not 8 months before the silicone started to rip and tear, if this one lasts even half that it would be worth every penny and then some, but I imagine it will last much longer due to the things mentioned earlier.

30% extra battery life from this case. Good for emergencies!
I really liked this product. It has an extremely nice feel when put into the iPhone. It was my first time using it yesterday. The only disappointing thing is that it only gave me an extra 30% of battery life. Yes, only 30%. No wonder it was now going for 16 bucks. I do not dislike the case but I do kind of dislike the battery percentage it gives u. Yes, I will still have it on my iPhone from now on because it is very good for emergencies. I would recommend but don’t expect it to give u a whole lot extra battery life. In a total I would give it a 6/10 just cause it’s a battery case and is supposed to give battery but it doesn’t give u much (battery wise). If u are looking for a good pricey battery case I would go with the more expensive one from apple. You truly get what u pay for.

THIS MOPHIE SUCKS
I read all the reviews about how GREAT this MOPHIE case would be. So...I tried it. BIG MISTAKE. Sorry to all of you who think it’s great. Maybe yours worked just fine, but I ordered one that wouldn’t charge either plugged in or on a wireless pad. So I ordered another one same thing happened. It would light up all four lights then show a solid light and one flashing. I thought that meant it was charging. But those lights went out after about 15 seconds. I tried everything. I plugged into different outlets, used different wireless pads and NOTHING could save either of these waste of money piece of garbage MOPHIE wireless battery packs. It’s not the money...it’s the WASTE OF TIME ordering it getting a replacement and it STILL wouldn’t work. Steer clear of MOPHIE. And while you’re at it Newdery and Alphatronix also SUCK. They worked initially, but after a few months the case wouldn’t charge at all. I’m on to the next one. I’m hoping I can finally give a good review for one of these cases.

Looses most of its potential charge due to inductive charging
I had high hopes for this item, but unfortunately, it added very little functional battery life to my phone XR. Also when I tried to charge my phone from the case, often the phone would heat up and cause it to stop charging. Both of these problems are due to the charging mechanism, namely Qi wireless charging, which is much less efficient. So a lot of the battery gets wasted as heat.On the plus side, the case is nicely built and not very heavy.

I like it, shame others don't.
This was an interesting move for Mophie. It is somewhat of a departure from previous Mophie cases in pretty much every way, but in the end is a winner.Pros:-It feels VERY premium in the hand and on the phone. The fit and finish on this case is prob the best I have ever had, and this would be my 4th Mophie. I have a hard and fast rule, I never buy an Iphone until Mophie releases a case and I stick to it. I skipped the entire X phone cycle because Mophie was sooooo late to bringing out the case for it.-Open bottom is fantastic. I can charge this case 3 different ways. Wireless which charges both the case and phone. USB C cable which comes with the phone, which charges both. Or lightning which charges just the phone and not the case. It is AWESOME to have so many choices.-They got rid of the flip switch I had on my 6s mophie and now have a button you must hold for 5 seconds. Love it. No more accidently turn on's of the case.-Buttons are VERY accurate and feel premium.-Feels great in the hand. I like the size at the bottom of the phone and the smooth transition up.-Works perfectly with Apple Carplay UNLIKE SO MANY OTHER CHEAP AMAZON CASES. Read their fine print, they say it on their ads. "Does not work with Apple carplay".Cons:-Little heavy. I carry mine on a side belt "dad pouch lol" and I will say it is maybe 5-10% heavier then my 6s with it's Mophie on. Def not a deal breaker.-Price. It's expensive at $99 but I simply do not use a smart phone without one.Mixed feelings:-Battery life. So here is the truth, for all those writing negative reviews about the battery re-charge amount.1. The Mophie is to be used in a "break glass" scenario. Only when you run out of battery on the main phone and you have no where to charge and you MUST use for phone. It is NOT meant to be some kind of battery replacement. So Mophie created this as more of a "topping off" back up. I get 35-40% more battery life on my XR which for me is fine. Why? Because the 35% on the XR is like 80% on my 6s. Just remember that when reading the other reviews. If having an additional 35-40% battery on the XR is not enough to get you through until you find a charge station then perhaps this isn't for you. For me, it is great.
