Winco 14 oz Clear/Silver Glass Syrup Dispenser (Set of 12)

I was searching for one of these for a while at my local Bed, Bath, and Beyond store, but for the longest time they didn't carry them. So I decided to purchase one from good ol' Amazon. The 14oz. dispenser is a large one, so it can hold quite a bit of honey or syrup. The top is sturdy and comes with a rubber washer / sealer so that nothing will spill or leak from the dispenser - and it works!The top lever that opens up can be opened a little or a lot, depending on how much you want to dispense. But this also controls the flow so that you don't over do it when serving yourself some waffle or pancake syrup. My wife and I like unscrew the top, put the glass container in the microwave and heat up the syrup prior to serving. Then we replace the lid and serve - this works very well!All around, we are happy with our purchase. Of course, shortly after purchasing this dispenser, the EXACT same one was then available at our local Bed and Bath for less - so keep an eye out!

UPDATE 2/33/16: Please note the [BRACKETED REVISIONS] below in my original review. With more usage time, I believe these more accurately reflect our experience. This (and perhaps any) dispenser will drip down the side more or less depending on how you handle it.This is our family's first restaurant style honey/syrup dispenser. Have had it as of this writing for about a month and so far works great and has ended [GREATLY REDUCED] our messy (drippy) dispensing problem. A few things I had read about in other reviews are absolutely true. Some reviewers said that their dispensers still dripped and gave low ratings. Well, other reviewers mentioned that there is technique involved when using it. When you're ready to dispense, tip the jar a little past 90 degrees from vertical BEFORE opening it. Then dispense the honey or syrup and RELEASE before tipping the jar back to vertical. You'll get a drip free experience 99% [MOST] of the time. Not perfect, but very acceptable [MUCH IMPROVED].The other thing to be aware of is that the internal seal in the lid must have a proper orientation to seal correctly. Just make sure to orient the flat side of the seal towards the glass container.Overall, I am very happy with this product.

It works well but the description said it was a set of 12 but only one came.

I should explain up front that I did not purchase this for the purpose of dispensing syrup or honey. Perhaps it would work perfectly for those liquids. My goal was to use it for vinaigrette salad dressing. I have been searching for a way to put my homemade salad dressing out on the table in a dipsenser that would not leak, since I have learned that my guests enjoy being able to regulate how much dressing goes on their salads; some like to pour it on, some like just a little. This dispenser has an old fashioned look and is attractive. It is made of glass with a metal top, as promised. But even when following the advice of other reviewers about how to ensure that the rubber gasket is installed correctly, the dressing still leaked when poured. Not a lot, but just enough so that oil dripped on the table, and could have dripped on someone's clothing. I was disappointed. It is possible that this would be perfect for something dry, like sugar, although I haven't tried that yet.

This is a really nice maple syrup bottle. It makes handling a thirty two ounce container of maple syrup, a heck of a lot easier. I like the fact that when you release the trigger, it closes it. And it won't spill or drip, it's a great bottle.

Love this! I'm going to use it for sugar. It looks exactly like my grandmother's sugar container. The design is only slightly different from hers. It's not too weighty, but solid and feels sturdy. It holds a good amount of sugar and the trigger to open the mouth is super simple, but won't spill if the kids knock it over. I think it's worth the money for glass and metal, just like when I was a kid.

I grew up with something like this that lasted for years, so I wanted the same thing for my cane syrup… JUST LIKE MY MA. But no matter how much I empty it and wash it thoroughly to start over so I can avoid syrup dripping down the sides, nothing works. It's not even from under the spout. It's the side. I see this commented on in numerous other reviews here, and with photos, so it's not just me.Also under the lid what appears more like corrosion rather than rust may also be preventing a tight seal up against the gasket. Whatever it is, it's all going into the trash once I receive a replacement from someone else.

Game changer - nothing is better for honey&syrup.Just take the top off to microwave.Worth the $. You still have drips, but not like any other product.Tip: let the slip close via the spring action BEFORE tipping the bottle back. Let the slide cut off the steam and the results are better.

Perfect for dispensing honey, pours well and cuts the pour off neatly with no waste. Just like the honey dispensers we had when I as a kid! Very happy with my purchase.
