I am from Cape Town and living in NYC, but was craving and missing biltong so bought this and it hit the spot. First bite: The flavor of the lamb encasing was unexpected, but after the first piece I really started to like it. Now I have to buy more! I bought the big bag and it was gone in a week. YUM!

I’m from South Africa and was so excited to see this products on Amazon. But this is NOT Droewors!! The sticks are completely dried out, full of air and the texture of all the dried shoe leather. I can’t believe they are selling this product and I’m sad that people will think this is what Droewors is supposed to be. The flavor is good but something clearly went wrong in execution or I got a bag of old dried out product. Try Ayoba-Yo brand.. it’s delicious and has the correct texture and weight.

These things were surprisingly good. Not nearly as tough as beef jerky but sometimes requires some extra chewing because they are pretty dry. A word of advice, if you plan on being a few with you in a separate Plastic baggie, maybe bring proof of what they are. A security guard who checked my bag at an event thought they were some kind of smokable drugs. “I ain’t never seen no beef jerky that looked like this”. But they taste pretty good and are filling enough to have as a keto snack with something like a handful of almonds. Just have some water handy, too.

I've had 4 packs. Three were a little drier than I like but one was perfect. Tried the mesquite as well. Didn't like that one at all.

We LOVED these the 2st 2 orders. Compact, no fat, great. But the 3rd order was a totally different product. Loose, bendy, dry, and quite a bit of discernible fat content. TOTALLY different flavor as well.

I could live on this. Sometimes it is a little bit more dry. One time it was kinda more greasy and another time it was really spicy. Almost like someone put the spicy flavor in the bag with the original writing.) but I have ordered it many times and it’s still the best I have found.

The shipping was speedy. The packaging was perfect. The consistency was good, just the right chew. They smelled lovely. They tasted like the South end of a North-facing Donkey. Blech! Will not be buying these again.

Most of these "beef" sticks came with no beef. See the picture of the one on the bottom in the picture provided. About 80 to 90 looked like that whereas they should have beef in them and not just casing--they should be more like the one on top in the picture--round and not flat like the one on the bottom. Additionally they were stale and dry. this is easy the worst biltong and even the worst jerky I have had in my entire life.
