I DON'T WRITE REVIEWS - BUT I DON'T WANT MY FELLOW MAN TO WASTE THEIR MONEY ON ANY OTHER MAT
I stand (or pace) while working until my lower back cannot stand anymore. I have those days where I have to sit more than half the day because of my lower back and feet ache. I visited many local stores and checked out their "anti-fatigue" mats. Nothing worthwhile. Looking over the Amazon offerings for such mats, I found two that I liked from reading their specifications and reviews. So I bought one and my friend bought the other. I bought the Imprint Cumulus PRO (commercial grade) and my friend bought the Skymat. The Skymat was 10-15$ cheaper and arrived first. It is a bit longer but not as wide. Pros: doesn't slide, no toxic smell, nice beveling, easy to clean and extremely lightweight. My friend uses hers in front of the kitchen sink. Cons: A bit too spongy/soft (doesn't hold your feet in in place because your feet sink into it). To solve that issue and her desire for more color, my friend bought a small rug and placed it over the mat. That is a good combination and provides more of the overall feel of the Imprint. Even so, it doesn't beat the Imprint. Wow, what a mat. It is not spongy but does allows your feet to sink in just a bit to hold my weight (180 pounds) more evenly. It's soft and firm. The actual material feels like soft rubber and keeps you standing steady all day and night. It is MORE than I had expected after visiting the local stores. The topside design looks like fabric and bottom is definitely no slide. The mat is easy to clean. I do not find this a drawback but it is much heavier than the skymat. I would say the heavier weight is concomitant with the heavier duty materials and the better-than-expected support. I honestly cannot think of how to improve the feel and function of the mat and wonder what is in those $100+ mats to make them deserving of costing more than the Imprint. I do not write reviews or participate in giving away my opinon because I do not like the idea that companies (including Amazon) profit from the opinions of the people. However, in hopes of helping out my fellow man, I write this review for you - THIS IS THE MAT TO BUY, seriouslyi, if you stand at work or stand in one location for a long period of time. The only negative is that the colors/visual design is limited and so are the sizes. And no toxic smell.

A necessary "evil"?
I'm struggling to know exactly how best to review this product as it seems to have been done much more thoroughly and scientifically by others. Namely: (http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-standing-desk-mat/) which led me to purchase it. I cannot make the same comparisons they were able to (having tried so many) so I would recommend reading their extensive review first! If the link doesn't work, search "The Best Standing Desk Mat (so far)" by Nathan Edwards on September 8, 2014.I have overall been satisfied by this product and its advertised benefits, but it hasn't been the standing panacea that I was hoping for; however, it is highly possible no product could be!I was standing at my desk roughly one month before feeling like I needed something better than hard carpet and concrete to stand on. After a while, some of the painful feet and joint issues I associated with standing at my desk seem to have dissipated for the most part which seems like it should be a major plus and credit in favor of the mat. However, it's hard not to wonder whether or not the aches were temporary, caused by something else, etc.My feet still get a little bit achy over the course of a day and I regularly shift my weight around but I don't know that some other mat would do any better. I'm not going to buy something different just to try it out!At first I was hesitant to wear shoes on it for fear of getting it dirty. However, I now regularly stand on it with shoes and the dirt has homogenized into a slight dirt veneer/sheen over the whole surface. I assume it would clean very easily but the uniformity of dirt just doesn't look bad enough to clean! Good job mat.It also is very rugged and durable and the edges do not curl up over time.I enjoy using it with and without shoes. There was no noxious odor when it arrived.I expected the mat to be shipped "rolled up" but was surprised to see it shipped flat which made transporting it to work tricky but it could then be unboxed and immediately used! The stiff, carpeted, concrete floor beneath the mat (and my movements) cause it to "scoot" throughout a day but occasionally bending down to re-position it is just fine with me (and no doubt would affect all manner of mats).I view the cumulus pro as a necessary component of my standing lifestyle, now, and am grateful to have such a high quality mat and 10 year warranty!

Standing Desk's Best Friend
Here is why I like this mat:- relives fatigue in my back, neck, legs and feet when standing all day- polyurethane doesn't off-gas nasty smells- the right thickness and density (not so thick or soft that I sink into it, but thick enough to provide adequate support)- easy to clean- 10 year warranty- 1 pc. construction = won't come apart- durable (only mat to survive thewirecutter's stapler drop test)- reasonable price (around $100 bucks)Recently my colleague and I converted to standing desks. He bought a fancy desk and a anti-fatigue mat from Costco. I bought this mat based on a reccomendation from [...]. I've only had it for a few weeks, but it feels very comfortable. It's almost like wearing my best running sneakers all time. I immediately noticed a difference in how tired my feet and back are at the end of the day. http://thewirecutter.com/ also did a bunch of testing to make sure it's durable and longlasting, so I believe them. So far it doesn't show any signs of wear, not that I expect it would.

Quite good, a tad firmer than I expected but definitely provides good support. I use it barefoot in our apartment, and I don't know if it's really designed for that particular function but it certainly alleviates a great deal of pain in my feet. If I stand still on it for a long period of time my feet will start to get sore, but that's probably not the mat's fault!

I found this great mat. The quality is fantastic
I work from a home office and recently converted my sit-down desk to a stand-up design. The initial transition was a bit challenging and now, after a year of standing, I found this great mat. The quality is fantastic, there is no off-gassing and it definitely eases the fatigue imposed from 10+ hours in front of the work computer. That it has bevelled edges is a plus in eliminating the trip hazard. I have it positioned on an area rug in my office and have not had any issue with it shuffling position. I do recommend this product.

Quality Product
The mat has the perfect amount of "give" to ensure that you're weight is supported without sacrificing comfort.Cleaning:* Easy to clean: I simply wipe with a damp cloth, the mat dries within 30 seconds.Moving:* The mat does start to stick to the floor, but you need that level of grip. This would expected behaviour from my perspective, and is not an impediment to use the product.Final Notes:* You can tell that the mat is well built (just don't put a chair on it when you need to sit).* Aesthetically neutral, meaning it can fit into most room designs.

This is the mat to buy
I've only enjoyed this for about 2 hr but I''m very pleased. I look forward to standing on it (as opposed to the tile floor) in my kitchen. I wish I could "floor" my whole kitchen with it but that would pose cleaning problems.Get sore feet standing for any length of time? Don't get a cheap one as you'll in all likelihood have to replace it sooner than you want to.This is pricey but IMO, it's worth it. And it has a 10 yr guarantee. You won't be sorry.
