Quality is right in line with the stones that come with the set. Was worried that the stones may be rough enough that I might encounter vibration or scratching issues but they are pretty smooth. They do make quick work of regrinding the bevel but leave pretty deep scratches that will require a fair amount of work with the finer stones to remove if you have a nicer blade and appearance of the bevel/mirror finish is important to you. Would purchase again but I think these will last me a lifetime (I don't frequently regrind a different bevel).

These will make quick work out of reprofiling super steels when you need to remove steel fast. I was skeptical about how much faster they would speed things up compared to the 100 grit stones for WE, but these remove steel A LOT faster. Wish they weren't so expensive but I can see there is a lot of diamond on these stones and they do really make reprofiling a lot faster. They are very aggressive so when I have a knife that I'm changing the edge angle on such as the first sharpening of a factory edge, what used to take literally hours with the 100 grit stones was reduced to 10 minutes or so with these, so use a marker to see where you're at and don't overdo it.

Love these stones. Some people say you don't need stones this coarse and maybe you don't at least for some steels. But for steel like SV90, if you're profiling or starting from a real dull edge I would disagree. They save a lot of time and effort.

Takes off a lot of metal in a short amount of time and leaves very strong scratch pattern. For reprofiling knives this set is a must. Have used it on vg10, aus8, d2, and many other steels and it cuts very well. You just need to be mindful that it cuts very fast. Just keep an eye on the bevels as they develop on each side. Have used this to fixed out of balance factory bevels and works well.

Most aggressive diamond stones I've ever worked with. Cut through some of the hardest most stubborn steel I have to reprofile the edge with ease. Could easily damage more delicate knives. Treat these with respect.

I love my wicked edge sharpener it is buy far the best sharpener I have ever owned and I have been sharpening knives since the mid 60's. These stones will take off a lot of metal but they do leave deep scratches which have to be buffed out with finer grits.

These are kind of extreme, they're super freaking aggressive and take off metal very quick but they lose that bite pretty quickly unfortunately.

Only use these for extreme cases of reprofing blades- they are super rough and take a lot of metal off with each pass. 10/10 would recommend with caution
