What size drill bit should be used for the anchors for hanging?

Thanks for your question! The anchor size is 5/16 which means technically for the pilot holes you should use a 5/16 drill bit. But, that means if you drill slightly too big though, the anchor wont be tight enough. I would start with a slightly smaller bit (like a 9/32 or 19/64) and then tap in the anchor with a hammer to ensure a tight fit. Thanks, Nick

How much weight can the hooks safely hold without breaking?

Hi Gary, Thank you for your interest in our product! The hooks can hold up to 10 lb. Enjoy, Nick

Is the "brown" more of a cool tone or warm tone brown? From the customer images I see different browns...

The color in this picture looks totally different than the color I have in my home. I have more of a cool rustic whitish brownish color.

Hi, Thank you for your interest in our product! The depth from the back of the item until the edge of the protruding shelf is 4 and 3/8 inches. All the Best, Nick

Exact what we wanted

We were very happy when we opened the box to see that the style and look was exactly as pictured. We bought 2 for our front entrance and are very pleased. They are well used. The wood finish is beautiful. The hooks are strong. The depth of the shelf is perfect to be functional for small items like keys but small enough you don't worry about knocking into it. Thank you!
