Great cube , great price
My first 5x5- only one I've ever used so I don't know how it compares to other, but I really like it. Seems to be wellmmade. Turns well, and feels nice. I think by "sheerness" they mean the quality of the finish- the feel. Nice smooth plastic with just a bit of texture. It's just a bit larger than my 3x3s. Overall great cube. Great value, one of the cheapest ones I found. I really like this brand.

Outstanding Value 5x5x5 Puzzle Cube
This cube provides a wonderful solving experience. It's small - not much bigger than a 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube - lightweight, beautifully bereft of stickers, and the perfect amount of "smooth." It turns very easily, but it also stays put in whichever position its sides have been put in, so it doesn't feel loose or poorly-constructed. I bought a Rubik's branded 5x5x5 right before I got this one and made a massive frowny-face after I discovered that after a decade and a half the thing's turns were still about as smooth as a Cleveland road in April. I literally opened Amazon after one solve (I never leave a cube unsolved) and copped this thing, and the Earth spun 180 degrees in an instant the moment I started turning its sides. It's the complete opposite of the Rubik's one. And the best part? It's, as of the time I'm writing this, about 37% of the price. If you want a 5x5x5 puzzle cube, forget that booboo Rubik's branded one and look no further than this bad boy. You won't regret it.

Very fun, a good challenge
My daughter bought this for her brother who loves rubix cubes and was ready for a new challenge, and he loves it. It took him a day to solve it for the first time, but now he can solve it in about five minutes, he loves it more than the 3 by 3. He certainly tly loves a challenge!
