what size is the actual item?

I fitted this for a customer who had a similar one prior. I would say it’s around half the size of a standard ironing board in length. It’s not in my opinion built to replace a standard board. The construction is quite flimsy. IMO it’s ok for a quick usage of one or two items but not firm / strong enough for everyday use.
