Need more information
This book gave me some additional knowledge that I am able to do something with. I recently weaned myself off of a blood pressure medication that had Sulfa in it. I am allergic to medication that contains Sulfa in it, yet my doctors failed to read my medical records. Good thing I recalled that it contains Sulfa otherwise I would have been up a creek and doctors would have been in deep water with my daughter for prescribing that medication. I am all for taking supplements, changing my diet, lifestyle in order to knock out the hypertension they tell me I have. This is a start for me at my age of 67 years young I would rather go off all the medications and opt for natural ones then be slowly damaged with prescription medication.

This book I found very helpful! for lowering blood pressure and also helped me with my headaches!
My blood pressure has never been high, however, when I am tense or stressed, it goes up to about 175/80 yet goes down after I calm down. And I have also suffered from tension headaches as well as the blood pressure problem. So after reading this book, I followed the advice and began eating more foods with magnesium and also taking magnesium supplements (along with calicum and potassium) and my headaches are gone and my blood pressure is 120/70 and on a steady basis.***Note that high blood pressure or headaches should never be taken lightly...these can be caused by a serious disorder. Be sure that you see a doctor and follow his or her advice. For me, before reading this book, I went to see my doctor who said my headaches were stress related. Then I discovered thus book and stepped up my magnesium...it worked for me.

Excellent = this book works
This is the second book I've read by this author. He seems to be a kind and careful man.So this book about magnesium which could have simply been a damning criticism of widespread medical incompetence and of the cynicism of pharmaceutical companies was not.He makes the case for the wider use of magnesium in a measured and thoughtful way.Given the cheapness and safety of taking extra magnesium, it should be taken by everybody with muscle cramps or high (and high-ish) blood pressure.I suffered for 18 months from muscle cramps and was first treated for a Vitamin D deficiency, but on its own this was not effective. After a month on magnesium oxide the carmps have gone.My wife had similar cramps, and also has high blood pressure and she, too, is cured of cramps and has lowered her bloof pressure. Please read this book - it is very convincing and helpful.

ThisBook#1
The book is excellent, a very easy read. I gift my Mom and cousin with one. Most importantly the magnesium works. It's only been 4 day of taking the magnesium that is recommended in the book. My pressure is 113/78..I was taking 2 high blood pressure pills a day..I'm in disbelief my high blood pressure could be cured this easy. I was told it was hereditary and there was nothing I could do. I will tell my whole family about this book and magnesium!!

Great Information!
I read this book after my doctor prescribed medication for high blood pressure. I was pretty sure it was the result of a short term stressful situation in my life, and I really didn't want to start down the medication road with all those nasty side effects. This book really opened my eyes to the other possibilities out there for curing HBP. Along with magnesium and CoQ10 supplementation, I also ate a lot of celery, increased my vegetable intake, did some slow breathing exercises, and had an Atlas adjustment at the chiropractor's office. I truly believe it was the combination of these efforts that helped me reach a normal BP and stay there - without any meds! Thanks to this author for sharing his experiences and encouraging all of us to listen to God's wisdom about how our bodies work and what needs to be done when they don't.

Fascinating and worrying at the same time
This is a short book that gives much very useful information on the role played by magnesium in regulation of blood pressure. It is written by a doctor for doctors, to an extent at least, so that it's possible to cite studies that will allow your own doctor to review the scientific evidence. But at the same time it's well presented and easy for interested individuals to understand. It is worrying because this appears to be another area where cheap available solutions are left by the wayside in preference to expensive long term medications. In short, well written, well researched, and with much good advice.

Saved My Life
If it weren't for this book my blood pressure would still be out of control. Before I got it, I went to the doctors. My pressure was 150/110 I was given an additional med and a referral. I prayer & said God it has to be a better way. I woke up and this book was there! I paid and read. The 2 medications were listed in this book. I got me some liquid magnesium and my pressures have been amazing! No more high blood pressure for me! And it can help you too!

Benefits of Magnesium as a natural health product
After reading the book, came to better understand the importance of Magnesium as a mineral in the human physiology in balance with other minerals such as calcium and potassium. I would also think that might include sodium although not much mentioned about sodium. These minerals in balance have an effect on health with regard to blood sugar, heart, and blood pressure. Backed up with apparent lengthy studies. Very informative.

very informative and useful
Covered everything from drugs, minerals and diet. Really helped me to understand hypertension in general and what's drugs can do. I've had hypertension for a couple of years and had difficulty managing it. I'm now trying magnesium, breathing exercises and diet. I'm menopausal so hormones are at play in my situation so I've had to really look at a combination of things but I feel I've been very deficient in magnesium and this book gave me great insight into that missing link.

Wish I knew this years ago......
I’m noticing improvement in the numbers and hoping to reduce meds. Max dose was only helping intrrmittently anyway. Something had to change. Found improvement after adding hemp hearts to my diet.....why? They have 80% of daily requirement of magnesium in a few tablespoons.......
