Garnier Fructis Style Curl Treat Shaping Jelly with Coconut Oil for Curly Hair, 10.5 Ounce Jar

THANK GOD I found this product. I was getting ready to spend a small fortune on 8 different Devacurl products, when I started searching on Amazon instead. This product is very fairly priced, shipped quickly, and 1 jar lasts a long time! I have thick islander hair which is so heavy sometimes that I fear my waves were being weighed down. I was right, because as soon as I started using Garnier Fructis Curl Jelly, I had deep pronounced waves out of nowhere! I wash my hair every other day, so I scrunch this jelly along the bottom half of my hair right out of the shower. It dries naturally and the waves are more emphasized as the day wears on. Plus it holds the entire 2 days, despite sleeping and workouts! It smells faintly like glue if you take a big sniff of the jar, but doesn't make your hair smell that way. I do like that there is no real scent, to compete with my perfume.

I have long, 2a wavy, fine but thick hair (fine strands, but a lot of hair). I have found that using enough to coat my fingertips, warming it up between my hands, combing it through with my fingers, and letting it air dry works best. First, I use Eva NYC's rock-a-wave curl cream on soaked or damp hair: two pumps on my hair, comb it through with my fingers, use a towel to scrunch, and soak up excess water and product. Second, I follow up with this product as I described. Gives me great definition, no tangles, no areas of my hair with globs of product, and more importantly, no horrible gel cast. The scent is a fruity but distinctly "hair product" type of smell, it doesn't bother me too bad. Plan to purchase again.

I have 3a-3c curls, medium to fine, low porosity, and I'm white. I find that this stuff lets me go multiple days without washing my hair because it keeps the curls in place. I can't stand crunchy gel, and when this stuff dries, it disappears into the hair. In a good way! Very water soluble. Great choice and I think the jar will last me 4-6 months.

I've recently started doing the Curly Girl Method since the beginning of June and I've gotta say that this gel works wonders for me. After I get out of the shower and put this gel in my hair the curls stay like I want them to stay all day. People complain about how the gel leaves your hair crunchy. In my own opinion I think my hair looks better with the crunch and no one touches my hair so I don't care about someone touching my hair and feeling it crunchy. I sometimes "scrunch out the crunch" whenever I feel that it's needed for my hair. But it's your own choice and seeing if you and your hair look better with the crunch. Since the first ingredient on this product is water when I'm on my second day I just spray water into my hair and the water causes the gel to reactivate since the first ingredient is water. Then after spraying water into my hair I just grab a quarter size gel and put it on one side of the hair and then the other. ***If any of your hair products have the first ingredient to be "water" then if you add water to your hair they will reactivate***

Very heavy product with a lot of moisture. I purchased thinking it would not only provide some moisture, but a good hold. It made my hair a bit greasy and weighed it down... my hair looked very dull and dirty. Perfect if you need a lot of extra moisture.

Second picture is with regular leave in conditioner and curl gel. First picture is with curl cream and jelly. Absolutely love this product. I have alot of frizz. And by midday my hair is a puffy nightmare at the bottom and flat at my scalp. I get all day hold and volume with no frizz. I use Marc Anthony curl CREAM first (not the lotion) then scruch the jelly into my hair and blow dry especially at the roots for bouncy curls. Usually it is "crunchy" and wet looking at first. But i scrunch it more once it is completely dry and it softens while still holding the curl. Never flakey. You do have to find that perfect amount for your hair too little is frizzy still and too much is crunchy and wet looking. I get compliments on my hair all the time now and can finally wear it long again.

With a cabinet full of unused high end and drug store curl products that don’t deliver and were a waste of money, this product will be a repeat buy as long as they make it. And what a bargain!! I have wavy/curly hair and the curl pattern needs help with a good, strong holding product. I am so happy with my hair when using this product. Every day is a good hair day. I have collar length hair and I use about a nickel-size amount and let my hair air dry and give it a burst of heat and scrunch it once it’s mostly dry. And here’s the thing: it looks great all day and doesn’t get flat, frizzy, or stringy. This product is great for hair like mine.

When using this product, I highly recommend it be used on dry to damp hair that is close to dry. To get the desired curl you want, no additional product is needed, as additional products applied to the hair before use could cause your hair to have white flakes. Only a small amount of product is needed for your curl definition/pattern to manifest itself, you can feel free to add more as needed. This product is great as a wash and go style for African American hair. On a rating scale from 1-5 with, 5 - highly recommended and 1 - don't recommend. I personally give this product a 5 based on my experience and, for the price and definition it gives. This product is on the same tier as the Miss Jessie's Coily Custard, which is one of my favorite go to hair staples, you get 2 oz more and save $10 bucks when compared to Miss Jessie's Coily Custard. This product is very light weight and does not leaves white residue when applied as recommended. WARNING!!!! If your hair is drenched in water, this product will not work, just like any other product out there. Again, I recommend applying this product on dry hair or damp hair that is close to dry.

It's so good and affordable. I use it instead of mousse as finishing product (after leave in conditioner). It helps to shape my curls, I'll buy again. Perfect for curly method, so I recommend using a leave-in conditioner of your choice and add this gel to scrunch you hair after. The scent is light and pleasant. I loved this product!

Si tienes el cabello rizado, delgado y con baja porosidad, este gel es para ti. Después del shampoo y el acondicionador, esto es lo único que me pongo para estilizarme mi cabello. No agrega peso y los rizos se conservan todo el día en buen estado. Si te llegase a hacer un poco de capa dura por el exceso, con haceer scrunch con las manos se suaviza el pelo. Tiene un aroma a coco muy rico, si es que te gusta este aroma.

I mean if you like crispy hair and crunchy curls then this is for you. It does curl your hair but it's not soft and fluffy like other products
