If you're okay with the bulbs getting extremely hot then these would be good. I returned because I have a wood panel ceiling and wanted to use them in an exposed bulb MCM light fixture. My climate is dry and I could see it starting a fire so I didn't want to risk it. I tested one by screwing it in, waiting less than 30 seconds and quickly touching it. It burned me so I can't imagine how hot they can get during normal use. The bulbs were packaged well, arrived promptly, and none were broken. It's a shame. They're cool but I suppose I forgot how hot incandescent bulbs get.
