YCTHVAC Air Door Actuator 15-73989 604-140 Fits Chevy Traverse 2009-2012 GMC Acadia 2007-2012 Saturn Outlook 2007-2010 Buick Enclave 2008-2012 Blend Control Actuator Heater Blend Door

I bought 2 identical actuators for both the driver and passenger temperature blend doors that go on each side (the one on the passenger side is the lowest) of the console just under the dash of a 2011 Acadia SLT. If you’re worried about the shaft fitting in the right direction, you’ll have it right because it fits only one way. The screws (with Torx T20 bit heads) are gonna be tough, so don’t drop them into the abyss underneath. I was able to loosen them the rest of the way with fingers and keep a grab on each one.

Works great and a lot less expensive than the $80.00 one at the parts store.

Used it for a 2010 Chevy Traverse. This is the directional actuator that controls which direction the airflow goes for the front compartment. The part arrived as expected, installed as expected, no problems.Three parts of the dash need to be removed to get at this guy: the black plastic underneath the glove box, the glove box itself, and for a bit more working room, the black plastic lining around the glove box (optional). Use a size 20 torx head screw driver to remove the defective one and put the new one in. No other tools are strictly required, though needle nose pliers may be needed to remove the black plastic cover beneath the glove box, and a flat head screwdriver helps with the plastic lining around the glove box. The three screws holding the actuator in place are a nightmare to get a screw driver to, I recommend something with a 90 degree angle, or one of the little thumb screwdrivers. There is one cable going into the actuator, and another cable you may want to temporarily disconnect to get some more working room underneath it (I found it easier to go up from below).Dismantling and reassembling this part of the dash is actually pretty easy once you know how to do it. The only difficult part is getting a screw driver to the screws holding the actuator in place. Changing an oil filter is more technical than replacing this, though you'll probably have to contort yourself into interesting positions to get those screws.

I haven't put it to the test yet but so far it fits my 2012 GMC Acadia Denali.

The install is the trick on this part and removal of the old part for the mode actuator. I would recommend what others have said, use one of them small ratchet tools. It will make your life easier in that tight space. When I went to put the screws back in, to keep that screw on the t bit, I used a little gasket sealer on the end. Just enough to keep it held to the bit when I went to put it in. Oh, to get the new part working properly, you either need a tool to reset they system or take the little HVAC fuse out for like 10 seconds and put it back in. I had to do that twice for the part to work properly (properly reset it). Before buying a new part, you can remove the fuse and try to reset it. Some say that will do the trick and you can avoid replacing the part. Also, if the original part is out of its boundaries, you can reset it but that requires removal and at the point, just replace it. All that info. can be found online.

Great product… fixed my problem. Was blowing very hot air on driver’s side.
