KastKing Speed Demon Pro Fillet Knife with Protective Sheath

I love this knife. I bought it specifically to carve the turkey on Thanksgiving this year. I deep fry a 20 pound bird and it is all about the carving. I wanted a knife like the ones you see at the buffet. This thing has a great handle that stays grippy in your had even with turkey juice all over the place. The knife cut the bird like it was hot through butter. I did two birds and it stayed sharp and did a great job. With two birds under its belt, I may do a third one this year and then shelve it. I don't anticipate having to sharpen it next year. Maybe the following year. Buy it, for the money you will love it.

I have a drawer full of fillet knives and this is my favorite! It is easy to get under the belly bones on salmon.

I used the bait and fillet version for removing skin from coho salmon fillets. It worked much better than my older knives. No problems whatsoever. Once I got the angle down it was one single slide of the knife and DONE. Nice clean cut and skinless fillets. I've really come to enjoy Kastking products!

Knife is light weight and easy to hold. Handle is soft and padded from the leather like wrap sewn to it. Blade is thin and flexible. Came in straight from the box. Knife seems sharp out of the box. Sheath for the blade is cheap light plastic. The tab the holds the sheath to the blade snapped off when it was first removed from the knife.

I was able to fillet 12 walleye with their fillet knife and skin them with their carving/skinning knife without needing to sharpen or even touch up the blades. Excellent products! Even ordered a second fillet knife so 2 people can fillet at the same time. If you’re looking for a good knife at a reasonable price this is a must have!

This knife worked really well for brisket, and the price was right. I don't know about a filet knife though.

I mainly use this knife to slice my ribs or brisket and it cuts through like butter. It’s sharp and sturdy and it comes with its own sheath.

I used it to slice a couple of briskets after smoking them. Overall happy with the purchase, only con and it is a slight one (hence still 5 stars) is I would have liked to see the blade not as flexible as it is. But for the money its all good!
