MaxiCrop has saved me hundreds of dollars. Once I saw how well it worked, I started buying pitiful-looking plants from the TLC tables at the garden centers for 10 cents on the dollar. I bring them home, put them in my shaded "plant hospital" corner, and pour MaxiCrop on them. Almost overnight, the plants bounce back. I tend them for a week or two, then give them away as gifts or plant them in my garden. It's amazing! I also propagate tomato plants from cuttings, feeding them with MaxiCrop. Again, this saves me a fortune and turns out healthy, strong plants. I read about MaxiCrop Seaweed Fertilizer from an organic farmer. Someone asked him what his "magic juice" was, and he said MaxiCrop, hands down. I ordered it on Amazon that very day. These folks who complain about the size of the pouch don't have a leg to stand on. It's a concentrate. The description tells you the ounces and how much it will make. There are no surprises, here. Betaines are particularly helpful to plants under stress. 20) Liquid seaweed fertilizers, (especially the alginates in the seaweed) act as soil conditioners. The alginates react with metals in the soil and form long and cross-linked polymers in the soil. These polymers improve the crumbing in the soil, and swell up when they get wet, and retain moisture for a long period. Recommended Application Rates: ============================== Soaking Seeds and Bulbs: Soak overnight in a solution of 1 tsp/gal of water. After planting, water with the same solution. Seedlings: Water with a solution of 1 tsp/gal of water each week. Cuttings and Bare Roots: Stand in solution overnight of 2 tsp/gal of water. Water with a solution of 1 tsp/gal of water. Garden vegetables and flowers and houseplants: Water once a week with 1 tsp/gal of water. Lawns: Spray to cover with 2 tsp/gal water for each 1000 square feet at least 5 times a season.

I have tried different liquid organic Kelp products for foliar spraying with varying results. The Kelp companies I spoke with always claimed heat during transport and shelf life after opening were no problem, so why did my liquid kelp turn a different color, and others turned clumpy. This kelp powder eliminates my suspicion of contamination, reduced potency from heat during shipment, or spoilage after opening. It's a fine ground powder, 1 teaspoon per gallon of water, mix well, spray. Plants react favorably by 48 hours, pretty incredible. Thick, waxy plant leaves are more difficult to get a reaction from, I noticed more positive results when combining an organic nonionic surfactant and saturating leaf tops and bottoms during spray. I believe spraying in the cooler morning, an hour or more before the sun hits the plants is the best way to achieve maximum absorption before evaporation. Side note: my Summer enviroment is • Relative humidity 6-20 %, • 2,500 feet altitude, • frequent winds from 10-40+ miles per hour.

I diluted a small amount in water and put it in a clear plastic container I use for rooting cuttings. After several days I noticed small swimming creatures in the water. They look like mosquito larvae. Since the container is inside my house they had to have gotten there from the maxicrop. So, while I'm sure the plants love the nutrients I strongly recommend you do not make up a batch and let it sit unused for too long.

I try to use this stuff monthly on my fruit trees and foundation plants. Great results. Increased mango crop. Trees really need this with my poor sandy soil. Seems to help prevent citrus greening if used consistently. Sometimes add dissolved baby aspirin in same pump sprayer. Always use before cold spell since it provides a bit of protection from very cold temps.

5 stars! Fast shipping, packaged well to protect contents. I like Maxicrop to use as a supplement with other fertilizers, especially with Fish Emulsion. It seems to increase the amount of blooms i=on my roses and other plants. Very pleased with product and with seller GDW.

I was a little skeptical at first. Would that little teaspoon really be enough to make any difference? However the powder seemed to magically color the water a dark brown...a little really does come through when mixed with water. I've been using this with the azomite powder so a little hard to tell which is working but something is. My sister gave me an orchid this fall that had already bloomed.so I thought it was finished for the season (or for good) but lo and behold another stalk is coming up. I've never had an orchid before but this looks like what the other blooms were on so we'll see. Update for all you orchid growers. I first posted in October 2013 and now Jan.2014. The original bloom stalk and the new stalk both have numerous big buds. In fact the stalks are almost producing small branches. I expect it to bloom any time now. I have the plant in a protective sunny (morning) room that is not heated in Beaufort SC. So.. I have another viable bloom stalk as well as the old one producing buds(one of the original bloom stalks did die but I don't remember if it was before or after applying fertilizers).

I love this for boosting root growth and overall health in orchids. It really makes a difference and I think this in particular is a quality product. What I don't like it that over time it solidifies into one solid lump of seaweed extract, and it becomes impossible to use at that point. So I was only able to use about half of it, before it became solid. I'm going to try something to keep it dryer this year and hope for better.

Good product

I'm a big fan of the 'black water' supplements. They seem to improve germination, and cut down on the fusarium. This is probably ten times cheaper than the liquid black water concentrate, if you go by colour density. I would also use this in my home-made hydroponic solution.
