Birds love it
I have purchased this a few times now. Delivery has always been prompt and the bag well-packaged. I have several bird feeders in my backyard, and millet is by far the favorite among our local birds. But millet seed is not available locally in my area; so, I really appreciate being able to purchase it on Amazon.

Birds enjoy it
Our millet-eating birds enjoy it. We had a rare visit from a female painted bunting last year because we had millet available for her to eat.

Well the first bag was torn open, but they replaced free of charge
I don't need much, since I use the millet in my House Sparrow traps. The only drawback is the squirrels like it, too. So as some other House sparrow trappers have had to do, add hot pepper spice to the mix. It'll put off the squirrels but not bother the HOSP's.

All my backyard birds love it
My backyard birds - mainly House Sparrows, Mourning Doves, and a handful of pigeons - love this stuff. Its relatively inexpensive compared to other feed. I feel like I'm seeing mixed messages about how nutritious it is but I put out other seed as well so I figure the birds can sort it out for themselves. The one thing about white proso millet that is a bit disappointing is that it is not "no-waste" - there are little papery hulls left behind. I'm feeding in a small patio space and they build up over time. But nothing in life is perfect. The quality of this millet seems excellent so far as I can tell. Its all white millet - no other bits of things mixed in.

A bit pricey but good quality!
Shipped fast and arrived as scheduled. My local pet shop went under last summer and I could not find just plain old white millet anywhere locally. Our birds were accustomed to having this as part of their diet so there was no other option but to find another source. The only downside is the price. I was paying .89 cents a pound locally so there's a bit of sticker shock between .89 and $2.60 a pound. That's the reason for 4/5 star rating.UPDATE 7/27/2013I recently re-ordered this product and received it a few days ago. I still maintain that the price is a bit high but the quality remains excellent.CONS: My only complaint is in the packaging of this product. The heat sealed bags containing the millet are poorly sealed allowing the contents of the bag to leak out into the shipping box.The shipping box has corners that have about a 1/4 inch hole in all 8 corners that allow the seeds to spill out everywhere. Makes me wonder how much of the content has leaked out during transit.Sure makes a mess wherever you decide to open the shipping box.Still, if you want good quality millet, this company ships fast.UPDATE 6/12/17I'm pleased to report my most recent order came sealed in a heavier duty airtight bag that did not leak the contents. The millet appears clean and fresh. Our feathered friends are pleased as well. Thank you PRDseed.

The cleanest millet
We have bought many different millets over the year. Some for people but mostly for birds. This has been the cleanest we have bought for birds. But, what is MOST impressive is how fast this company ships it to you! I ordered a 40 pound bag on a Sunday night and it was here Thursday. Not sure how they make any money with the amount they have to pay to ship it. But we are very happy. This is the third time we have bought from them. I had to go back and look rough all our orders once I realized the other millets were not as clean.

Lot of chaff
First time using this company. Not impressed at all.Lots and lots of chaff and dust with lots of what look like slivers of sunflower seed hulls.I have a small gourmet mushroom grow in my house for personal food to save money on the grocery bill...This millet makes a big mess. Seed hulls and dust everywhere. Not a clean product at all.I've used many brands of bulk millet and this is the first time I felt the need to complain.Pretty disappointed.

good for bird food
Got this to make a bird food for the quails that adopted our backyard. They like it and its cheaper than buying a small bag at a time since we have a lot of birds nowEdit - I've now ordered three times and each time is quality stuff and my birds go crazy when they see me going outside to fill their bowls. Also my bird family has multiplied to four quail families, finches, doves, and one lone pigeon who is absolutely beautiful. Thank you guys for helping me take care of the birds that have adopted me as their caregiver.
