Do the grey pack & color pack come with the clip & pinch-release flash-drive leash or are they the same as the cheaper black ones with only the cord?

The lanyards that I received have a heavy-weight thread loop at the end. There is no other release mechanism provided. For example, I have my key fob on a lanyard by simply putting the loop through the hole in the fob, and pulling the lanyard through the loop. The lanyards are what I expected, and they work just fine for me.
