At the end of the day it’s another protein bar. I was expecting them to not taste like conventional protein bars because people claimed they liked the taste of these even if they don’t normally like protein bars, but alas, they have that same packaged protein bar texture and taste as all the others. Still provides valuable fuel for long runs and I’ll eat them even though I don’t enjoy the taste of them. So far I’ve tried the chocolate chip cookie dough and caramel almond sea salt flavor. I do like that they have 100mg caffeine in them to keep me going during a long day on the trails and they don’t get mushy in my pack. Edit: I have tried a couple more flavors and have grown to enjoy the bars more. I like the dark chocolate peanut butter and dark chocolate pink Himalayan salt flavors the best. I would actually purchase again.

Great protein snack when craving a snack late afternoon. Besides the clean ingredients and protein, there's a boost of caffeine. This helps those on glp meds especially if you stress eat.

I bought these for a long trip and I was trying one of each. I didn't even get through all four flavors. Banana nut was kind of edible but had such a bad chemical aftertaste I couldn't eat another one. The dark chocolate Himalayan Salt was the best one. I don't like chocolate at all but this one was edible for me. The next one I tried was the caramel almond sea salt and that was the last one I tried. This one was so gross and chemical tasting to me I literally had to pull over on the side of the highway and throw up because I couldn't wash the chemical taste off my tongue. It just stuck there. I still gag when I think of it a week later. I'm not exaggerating either. I'm not sure how people eat these.

Update: After my review posted the company contacted me to apologize that I did not like the product which was seriously awesome. They offered to refund me (which I did not accept because I ate them and used the product and did not feel right about that) but color me impressed! I may not enjoy this particular product, but the company itself seems great!! Ok, so they do what they say they do. GREAT pre run/pre workout energy. Good ratio of nutrition vs. calories. A++ on that stuff. Taste however is…. Lacking. Imagine someone gave you a fresh piece of pumpkin pie and then added salt to it. It doesn’t hurt your teeth like some others I have tried, but it’s not something I look forward to consuming by any means. Ok in a pinch but be prepared to talk yourself through getting the whole thing down. Not one I will re-order.
