Lots of surround sound
The only piece I know on this disc is Bolero (I have this album on CD but apart from Bolero it's not my favourite) and there it is, the snare drum moving all over. However, expanding the mix of this track to 4.0 has exposed a strange sound in the centre of the fronts, which I can't find on the CD version. Enough to lose half a star maybe...The rest of the disc is fine, with all channels getting a good workout. On the whole an excellent disc at a budget (for SACD) price. More please.

Tomita on SACD
What I have already written in the revue of Tomita's Firebird goes for this one too; except that this 4 channel version might not have been mixed by the man himself. I do not remember Daphnis et Chloe being among the albums that were released on CD by RCA in Dolby Surround back in the day. Does this mean that the whole Tomita catalogue might eventually appear on SACD?

Excellent remaster
Tomita is an acquired taste. This SACD has been excellently remastered and sounds great. If you like his style of synthasizer music this is an excellent buy.

Sound Quality is Amazing
I hope this company release more of Isao Tomita's work onto Multi channel SACD. The surround sound on this SACD is awesome.

Reissue from Vocalion
Well presented and packaged, time and effort has been paid to detail, and to the sound.

Not impressed
The original on RCA red seal sounds much better so returned the sacd version. I only listen in two channel stereo sacd, very disappointed with this new version, bass and spacial detail not as good .
