It Does the Job your hands alone really can't
This clever tool has one purpose in life - helping you to remove your compression sox. It's simple (no moving parts), sturdy (as far as I can see, so far) and a godsend to a seventy-seven year old man with an arthritic shoulder, and impediments to bending over - like tight hamstrings.I give it four stars because it doesn't run on magic and thus does not operate as smoothly as the instructions would suggest. You will come up with your own variations on the process and which chair(s) would be best for the process and all will be well.

It Works More Or Less As Advertised
It works just not as shown in the video. However, I will buy it again becasue I expect the end to break off from the flexing required to slip the stocking over my heel. It is the best removal device I have found to date.

Excellent
It is very helpful for regular socks. Efficient and comfortable to use. I also have toeless compression socks I would like to use it on. My socks are rated as within its capabilities, but in order to test removal, the socks have to be on my feet. Right now, I don’t dare try to put them on. I learned that lesson the hard way several werks ago when I nearly crippled myself. I do think and hope it will work when I finally am able to try it on the toeless compression socks.

Barely helped
Caveat emptor: first of all this device has a sticker on one side that says slide this side against leg peel off before use. You can see the sticker in my attached photographs, and the fact in a couple of the photographs where I tried on two different corners to peel off the sticker and it does not come up easily, which tells me it's going to leave behind sticky nasty residue. So that bites. Shame on the manufacturer.I had hip replacement surgery and have to wear Ted hose for 30 days. But I'm not allowed to bend forward, so getting them off has been a real pain. I purchased this because I was told it would help. It helped me get the sock down to my ankle, and that was it. I live alone. I was afraid I was going to have to call 911, LITERALLY, to get the sock off of my ankle. I was finally able to get the sock off with the addition of a long handled shoehorn down inside the sock on the other side of my leg. It was painful. And I'm not sure if it was worth the approximately $20 before tax that I paid for this device. So buyer beware. This is not the magic wand that you are hoping for.

Not worth it.
Biggest problem is it is too flexible. You can get started on the sock okay but getting it off your foot is next to impossible.
