My new favorite spotting light
Just back from an extended dive trip. I tried out my new D530 dive light. It's a little light, but a mighty light. Small enough for a pocket or just hang off of a retractor. With the 7degree beam, it can really throw a beam, even on a bright day. It was perfect for shining under ledges as I swam by. I was surprised on the longevity of the battery. It easily lasted 3 dives, with occasional use. It has two power setting, I used the lower setting to backlight some of my shots. It's quite an impressive little light, and a great value.

Amazing! Best light I ever bought.
I purchased this light right before a trip to the Bahamas. I bought it primarily as a backup light to my expensive bulky canister light. But quickly found it to be a better option to use as a primary light. Simply because of the fact it was small. Easy to store. And just as bright as my primary. The narrow beam made it great for cutting through the water like a scissors through paper. After reading multiple reviews online I figured I would bite the bullet and see what this little light had to offer. When I received the light in the mail I was quick to open the package. It was very well packaged and I noticed that the light was very well built. The aluminum housing, the rechargeable battery, the extra lube and o-ring were a bonus. The light came to me charged but I threw a charge on it just to be safe as I was leaving for my trip. Once we did our first night dive I realized I might as well have left my canister at home. Not once did I use my canister light. I chose this little guy as my primary for the trip. It was everything I had needed and not once the whole trip did I need to charge the battery. I did a total of three night dives for close to an hour a piece. I couldn't believe how nice this light functioned. Between dives I stored it in my BCD pocket. Tucked away, yet easily accessible. I was a little concerned that the salt water might have some effect on the light. I am usually a freshwater diver so salt worries me at times. But to my amazement it worked flawlessly without any issues. At depth or out of the water. I could see this light being used for many things. It's rugged design. Bright LEDs. And size make it a very versatile light. I will be purchasing another light simply to have as a backup to my backup. Never in a million years did I think something so powerful could come in something so small. I would highly recommend this to every diver to have in their arsenal of equipment. I will definitely be looking at other orca lights in the future. This is a brand that is going to make it big in the diving industry. Guaranteed.

Great primary recreational light or amazing backup light for cave or technical diving.
This light is great. I purchased this light for a Monterey Bay dive trip. We just finished. Anyone that knows Monterey knows you can have decent days and terrible days with regard to visibility. This was a terrible day. Visibility was around 10'. The OrcaTorch D530 fit the bill perfectly. The OrcaTorch D530 helped out immensely. It was overcast as well as poor visibility, so having a light was paramount. This thing throws some light. The 1200 lumens and narrow beam pattern help to penetrate less clear water like we have in California. With more stuff in the water, a wide beam would get blown out. Not in this case. The D530 cuts right through it. A few bullet points: - I have a ScubaPro light as well as the OrcaTorch TD01. I used those most of the time. Not now. The OrcaTorch will become the primary and ScubaPro will become the backup. This is for recreation only. If I was cave diving, a cannister light would be the way to go. The TD01 will still stay on my head as well. Never have too much light in some conditions. - The D530 has a quick and easy button for turning on and off. A single push and the light comes on at the brightest setting (1300 lumens). Push again and lumens drop to 380 lumens. Push a third time and the light turns off. My ScubaPro requires the front lense housing to be turned to turn the light on and off. That requires two hands. The OrcaTorch can be used with one hand, which is very nice. - I did not have any time at all where the light accidentally came on by itself. I could have used the safety lock feature (hold power button for 5 seconds to prevent accidental activation). This was not needed. If you are going to carry this in your dive bag wit the battery installed, it would be a good idea to activate this feature. - I love the use of 18650 batteries. I have a bunch of those for other devices, so being able to have a few on hand for multiple dives would be great. - Similar to other OrcaTorches that I own, the 18650 battery has a USB plug so no separate charger required (cable comes with the light). - The spare parts are a huge plus. I store the light in my OrcaTorch TD01 case. Keeps the light well organized for storage or transport. - Shipping was great and the box arrived in excellent condition. - This would also make a great non-SCUBA light. It is all metal and very bright. I would have zero issues carrying this in a go bag or on a camping trip. Piece of mind knowing it is waterproof in case I end up in the water at some point.

Excellent design, solid construction, great battery life
Yesterday I had the most fun and impressive dive I've ever done. It was a night dive around an old pier that's mostly sunken. As primary light, I took this dive light. It worked great! It was very bright. Which is important not only because it lights the way, but it's important for other divers to see your light from a distance. Once I got closer to a spot I wanted to check out, I used the dimmer mode. It's very useful for many reasons, to not startle too much fishes and other creatures, and because you probably have someone with you who's also shining their light. This dive light is great. I very much appreciate the button design. It's sturdy, meaning you can't accidentally press it. Which is important because otherwise you would waste battery. It also feels good. The construction of it feels very solid. I'd say it's unbreakable. The weight is perfect. And the Battery wise I think it lasts plenty. I dove for almost an hour and the battery indicator was still green. Let me tell you a little about night dives. They are nothing like day dives! It's a whole different world. I saw a ton of creatures I had never seen. Some creatures I had seen before, like lobsters and moray eels, behave very different! At night, they are hunting and moving around. I saw basket stars, Spanish lobsters, corals with their polyps out waiting to catch plankton. Seriously, get yourself this light and go night diving. You will not regret it!

Great light, powerful, robust, small and easy to use.
The Orcatorch D530 light is one to do it all, great output to be useful during daytime dives, looking under ledges, nukes and crannies, searching for lobsters, wreck diving and more than suitable for night dives. It has a whiter tone than the D570 (also fantastic light), a nice focused beam to use as communication and call attention from your buddy, with just the right amount of spill to illuminate the surroundings without blinding the diver with too much backscatter. The light comes with a 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery, it provides nearly 2 hours of burn time to its 1500 lumen high mode, or over 3 hours on low setting, protected by triple oring and the provided USB-C cable plugs right into the battery with a charging light indicator, very convenient. It also comes with spare o rings, a wrist lanyard and a great padded travel case. The light body features a very sturdy attachment point to those who prefer to attach a bolt snap, perfectly centered on the “tail”. Operation is very straightforward, one magnetic switch, single press toggles through the 3 modes, high/low/SOS, with a press and hold to lock and prevent accidental activation, this makes for a safe backup and everyday use, I have mine attached by a bolt snap to my BCD and it stays on my gear always, I do guided dives for a living and use it every day, either to communicate with the costumers and show interesting things hidden in the shadows during daytime dives, I charge it about once a week. The attached video shows it being used during the day(anything can appear bright at night), in less than 30ft of water with plenty sunlight and lots of particulate in the water, it demonstrates well its ability to cut through the silt and illuminate the subject without too much backscatter, filmed with GoPro next to the D530, no filters. It gives a pretty good idea how well it’d perform on night dives, if it’s this powerful during the day with so much sunlight, imagine how good it does in complete darkness. I’m overall very happy with this light, the ratio of quality to cost can’t be beaten, very versatile, highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed.

Amazingly Compact and Bright
A great little dive light. Small enough to be a backup light that will easily fit in a BCD pocket, but bright enough to act as a primary. I took it on my recent shore-diving trip to Bonaire and used it as my primary light on several night dives. The light comes with an 18650 format Li-ion battery and so is interchangeable with batteries from several other devices I have. The battery can be connected directly to a micro usb cable, so no additional charger is necessary. A new feature for me that I can see really appealing to you if you want to travel light. The battery slides into the body - but not completely (as shown in the picture). I really appreciate this! I have a competitor's light where the battery fully inserts into the body and it is a bear to remove when it need recharging. No need to shake the battery out (which invariably flies across the room)! The led-illuminated side switch is nicely placed to allow you to change light intensity under water and I really like the color coding showing remaining battery charge. Having said that, I had no difficulty completing a single tank dive (~50 min) on max brightness. The indicator light was still green after completing the dive. The flashlight has a bright central spot, surrounded by a wider lower intensity disk. It is really bright on its high setting and I would often point the center away from the item of interest and use the lower intensity ring to illuminate the scene for my GoPro camera. I am very pleased with my purchase and it should make anyone's short list when they consider buying a new dive light.

Nice light but not a tight 8 degree beam
This is a quality light and it should be very durable. It's also small and easy to store in a pocket. I really like the option to reduce the brightness when appropriate for water conditions or wildlife. While the main beam (hot spot) may be 8 degrees, the corona or spill around the main beam is quite wide (perhaps 50 degrees). This seller's ZD710 MK2 is much more focused when set to the same main beam width. Don't get me wrong, I like this little light. It's just not a tight narrow beam. The locking feature on the power button is a nice touch. I did have a bit of difficulty executing the two rapid clicks to unlock it while wearing drysuit gloves, but I imagine I'll get better at it with more practice. One thing that is a little bit of a letdown, the light only comes with one rechargeable battery whereas the other lights I have purchased from this vendor came with two. It's not a huge deal, but having a spare on-hand is really nice. On the other hand, the battery has a built-in USB-C charging port, so recharging the battery is fast and easy. I plan to keep this light in my pocket as a backup for my primary light.

Incredible form factor and power.
This is the second OrcaTorch that I own. I bought it as a backup to my ZD710 which I love, however the D530 is quickly becoming my primary light for daytime dives. Why? Because it is small, lightweight, and POWERFULL. It has two modes - low and full power. The full power mode is sharp, focused, and bright. I find myself using it on full power for the entire dive. Unlike it's bigger brother, the beam cannot be focused or expanded, but honestly the sharp directed beam of the D530 is amazing to pinpoint areas under corals and to shine into caves. For night dives, my primary light is the ZD710, but the D530 is also with me as a backup light mounted on my underwater scooter. We usually dive two dives a day and by the end of the second dive the battery indicator is a steady red indicating about 25% battery left. The battery power is sufficient for the two dives a day that I do (about 1.75 hours of dive time). Charging the battery is easy as the battery itself has a USBC connection and it will accept any USB C cable. The battery port is located midway, behind the LED's - which I believe is a significant improvement over other torches where the battery port is at the rear of the torch. I believe the design will lead to fewer flooding incidents as having a rear cap can lead to accidental flooding mid-dive as you handle the torch. Overall OrcaTorch has a winner with the D530. Long battery life, powerful, lite, and strong. I am picking up a second one for my wife.

Excelente producto

Perfect value for money
I’ve been using the Orcatorch D530 for several dives now, and it’s exactly what I was looking for. Nice primary light for recreational diving or a good back up light for tech diving. The 1300 lumens are plenty bright. It cuts right through murky water and is perfect for signaling your buddy or looking into tight crevices. The build quality feels rock solid, and the switch is easy to operate even with thick gloves. Great value for the money!
