Works great!
Bought this for my 05 6.0 Powerstroke. I still keep my old one just in case of emergency. So far, my voltage has been great. 13.5v-14.3v while driving and idling! There's no reason to buy a 220amp when this one does the job just fine. Everything bolts up as it should without any issues.

Works in 99-03 7.3 with modification to the mounting bracket
Works great. DB makes quality products at reasonable prices. I've used 2 of their starters and will order another altinator for my other truck. Charging output is 14.6+/- and charged output is 14.2+/-. Exactly what I wanted to see.

Replaced previous alternator with 300,000 miles!
I bought this alternator years ago, and put 300,000 miles on it. It was still working perfectly, but I was concerned that it couldn't possibly last as long as it has...so I bought another one and installed it, but the voltage is exactly the same, nothing different, I even added some grease to the rear bearing, but my truck proved that these can last over 300k miles and still be perfect. I probably wasted money, but it'll be a great spare part now...

Poor quality
I dislike when you buy Chinese stuff ( everything we purchase online) that the return window is only 30 days. I’m done.40 days old then the item fails. Only support is troubleshooting. Ugh This doesn’t help at all, the alternator insulator where the battery cable connects fails then the battery cable end now makes contact to the alternator body. And burns the cable end. I’m now out of a new alternator and now replacing the battery cable end.

Powerstroke 6.0 needed this...
I HIGHLY recommend you get a DC clamp style multi meter (about $30) first to use on your working stock alternator to see the draw of your glow plugs and the amount of time they fire off. Mine were drawing the exact high end of the stock alternator at 110 amps. The problem with that alternator was that it was producing an over voltage environment after the glow plugs went off, thus lighting my "battery" light intermittently. Meaning it would shut off the alternator for a moment, then back on, then off. This alternator is rated at 180 amps. It topped out at 140 amps during glow plug start up and I can't get any higher than 140 with the other power demands. WHO CARES?!! It's more than $50 less than the cheapest rebuild at Napa or O'Reilly's. I'm going with heck of a deal. But if you NEED 180 amps, get the tester once you get it to verify. Maybe they offer a 210 amp?? And that's the actual 180. Also, plan on upgrading your alternator wire. I had some 1/0 lying around and a "Blue sea" style fuse for the battery terminal. You DON'T want to use the existing wire as it incorporates a parallel "fuseable link". The links are basically two smaller wires. In my case 12 gauge. Those will pop with more amps.

Damaged product twice - needed to replace in less than 4 months' time
Purchased this twice and twice it arrived damaged. The second time it didn't seem as bad, but after only 3 months of use, it the alternator quit completely. I would strong caution against buying this product. I'm now out the money for the original one I bought (this one), the cost of having it installed and now need to purchase another one and pay to have it installed less than 3.5 months later. Super disappointed.

Complete garbage
Do NOT buy this alternator for your 6.0 power stroke. This thing ran so hot and smells like burnt electronics also has a whining sound after first drive didn’t even last 20 miles!!
