Light Jagdpanzer
This is an excelent book, giving the full development of the Jagdpanzer 38t and the Jagdpanzer IV. Lots of photographs and drawings to support the text. The section on operations is a little short, bet everything else is fine.

Light Tank Hunters
This is a review of the development and use of German tank destroyers in WW2. Lacking the industrial might to mass produce enough tanks to fight the Allies, the Germans looked at putting larger cannon on small, older tank chasis. The Hetzer was the most famous and effective of this lot. A 75mm cannon on the sound tank chasis of the czech T-38 with sloped armor made for a great tank destroyer. About 1/2 of the book is devoted to the Hetzer. The Germans also used the panzer mark IV as well. This is an excellent book with line drawings of all of the German light tanks created. Many crisp, clear Black and White photos showing the weapons, tanks, engine and interior. I definately recommend this book for armor students. Modelers? No color drawings or photos which is the only thing I did not like about this book. There are also a few pages of operational use and also of interest, a few proposals on the drawing board for even smaller, lighter tank destroyers.

excellent photos
Many Hilary Doyle drawings and many large, excellent, detailed photos. The book is very well layed out, and the photo print quality is very good. Total length of the book is 196 pages. 83 pages about Jagdpanzer 38, 34 pages about Jagpanzer IV, 18 pages about Jagdpanzer IV/70, 8 pages about Panzer IV/70(A), 7 pages about Panzer IV long(E), and 15 pages on Jagdpanzer IV that never got beyond the design stage.

Jagdpanzer 38 and More
This book contained information, photos and drawings on the 5 variations of the Jagdpanzer 38/L48 cannon between March 1944 to April 1945, the diesel Jagdpanzer 38D/L70 cannon and the fixed recoil L48 cannon on the Jagdpanzer 38 Starr. Then this book covers the Jagdpanzer IV - 0 series/L48, the Jagdpanzer IV/L48 between April 1944 to June 1944, Jagdpanzer IV/70 (V) between Sept 1944 to March 1945 and the Jagdpanzer IV/70 (A) in December 1944. Finally, some drawings of the paper panzers (panzer '46), the Jagdpanzer IV long (E), the tank destroyers E-5, E-10/L48 and the E-25/L70 are included. Great value and great depth of detail.

This book is marred by a poor translation. There are many grammatical errors and the translator had a poor knowledge of technical terms and military language. Some sentences make no sense and others you can infer what is meant from the general context. A geographical error is placing Stettin on the Elbe instead of the Oder, despite mentioning that the unit involved deployed to the Oder. A pretty good book otherwise, but be forewarned.
