Vinyl is too thick and stiff
UPDATE:I bought a new old stock of this item and can confirm that the older product is not nearly as stiff.I suspect this case has changed in the last couple years. The one I received was made with VERY thick and stiff vinyl, which makes the case somewhat awkward and annoying to use, in my opinion. Also, the interior is supposed to be soft, but the included large pocket is made with again, very stiff vinyl so it rubs hard vinyl against the face of the meter. Even the interior seams are massive and add to the inflexibility of this case. I must deduct a star for all this.I wanted a case that is easy to use for electronics use and will sometimes go in a tool bag and this isn't ideal for that. If you want something tougher that can bounce around in your tool box with other loose tools, then maybe the thicker vinyl will be OK for you.It seems like the design was locked in years ago but someone changed vinyl suppliers and now it's not the same case? At least compared to what some other reviewers received. Or the listing changed...

Good quality case that fits my Amprobe 510 perfectly.
The Amprobe catalog says that this case fits my Amprobe 510, and it does fit just fine. I bought a Klein test lead set with threaded alligator clips, and the leads and clips plus instruction manual fit just fine on the pocket side. The other side has a strap to secure the meter. The 510 has probe holders on the back, so I put the Amprobe 510 probes in the holders, and then fold up the lead wire on the back side of the 510, so this case can easily store two sets of leads plus a set of alligator clips. Can zip it up easily, and I do not have to struggle with the zipper. The case is sized just right. The price just dropped on this case the other day to $14.98, and it had been $19.xx for a long time. Compared to what else I could find, the price is good for a case that is designed to fit the meter. Case is made in China, and it is good quality. I would rather have this type of case over denier nylon.

Nice.
I use this to carry an older Meterman XR-34A (same as the Amprobe XR-34A and a heck of a nice meter) It fits perfectly and has plenty of room in the pocket for leads, alligator clips etc. The zipper works well and the elastic strap to hold the meter in place is nice. This case unzips and opens like a book and you do not need to remove the meter to use it like the fluke cases. The only thing negative I can say is the vinyl material feels a little bit flimsy but I have not had any problems yet so time will tell. The loop on the back is held in place by snaps and they do come loose easily so you really can not use this to hang on a tool belt so I am knocking off a star for that.

Same quality as Fluke without the cost
I actually like this pouch quite a bit. It has a very similar build and texture to a Fluke meter pouch, but a lot cheaper. I have several Fluke meter pouches and they seem to be the same quality as this. I'm using it to hold an Amprobe TMD-52 thermometer and extra K-type probes. There is lots of extra room in the case even with the meter and probes inside. I would readily buy this carrying case again to hold other meters as well.

Works, but could use a better pocket
This does its job, but it could use a better pocket (or multiple pockets) for storage. E.g. the Amprobe 38XR-A multimeter -- that I house in this case -- comes with two probes, two insulated alligator clips that attach to the probes, and a temperature sensor. There is barely enough room for all this in the pocket, so when you want to get one of those, you have to take out the others as well.

Very nice case!
This is a very nice case that is lightly paddded and has a smooth, easy opening and closing zipper. My Amprobe AM-510 multi-meter, test leads, and instructions fit neatly in the case with room to spare. The AM-510 meter dimensions are approximately 7" L X 3.5" W X 2" D. With proper care, this case appears durable enough to provide many years of protection for my meter against the usual hazards found in the average garage.
