I often use Bluetooth headphones instead of wired headphones, but there are certain situations like long airplane flights where wired headphones are a better choice for me due to battery life, etc. Unfortunately, over the years almost all of my wired headphones, regardless of cost and construction have failed, usually because the wires break. I got this Amazon Basics two-pack of headphones for my laptop computer case and my knapsack for travel. I figure that with airplane/airport noise and other travel noise, I don't necessarily need my wired headphones to have audiophile sound quality. I just need them to have adequate sound quality at a low cost. This Amazon Basics two-pack of headphones fits my needs for that task. The earphones are comfortable for me, and are left-right specific with an "L" and an "R" marked on each earbud. They come with extra tips for different sizes of ear canals. The music listening sound quality is good, but not great. They can't reproduce very-high frequencies and the bass response isn't great either, but they are still enjoyable to listen too, and perfectly adequate for my travel needs and casual listening. The microphone works well for phone calls. And the button on the microphone works fine for play/pause, skip-forward, and answer/hang-up calls. The wire is about 4.5 feet (1.37M) long by my measurement which is easily adequate for my needs. The wire is relatively thin, which is convenient for storage/carry but doesn't inspire confidence for longevity. However, there is a good amount of strain relief at the 3.5mm headphone jack, where wires typically break. But there is no strain relief at the earphones, which is a bit worrisome for longevity. These headphones are not very high-fidelity, but I didn't expect them to be at this price. However they do provide good audio quality at a great price with some nice features, so I'm rating them 5-stars.

I think these are competent entry‑level wired earbuds. I found them enjoyable for most media content, although anything where you expect strong bass sounds flat to me. For phone calls or voice content, the sound profile seems ideal. The microphone is clear and worked when I tried it with an older iPhone using an adapter. The cord length is longer than expected, but it also means it can get tangled easily if you don’t wrap it neatly. I would probably consider trimming or removing the large sticker near the 3.5mm end, since it can get in the way. The sound quality is objectively clean as long as you use the correct ear tip. I did find the bass a little weak — subjective, of course — but the drivers are fairly small at 8.6 mm. It comes with the typical sizes: large, medium, and small. The medium tips are installed by default and should fit most people, although not all ears are shaped the same. Depending on your ear canal, you might get a better fit and seal with different sizes; for example, I get a better fit using the medium tip on my right ear and the small tip on my left ear. Overall, these earbuds have clean sound for the price point. The bass lacks punch, but the mids and highs seem acceptable to me — again, subjective.

These wired earbuds are very good. The observations that I have really are personal preferences. These are ergonomic earbuds so they fit inside the cup of the ear. It's a smaller size so quite comfortable for me. My problem is in the past that they've been too large but this solves that issue. The only thing I wish is that these earbuds did not have a straight jack. I prefer the jacks that are the 90° bend. That keeps the stress of holding the phone since the jack opening on my phone is on the bottom of the unit. Price-wise it's a little expensive but not on toward. The cord seems to be fine and it works fine with my older LG phone that has a jack. I consider it a decent value for the money.

The built-in microphone and control button are also useful for controlling music without reaching for the device. Just keep in mind that the button does not control volume. Was looking for a pair to throw in my bag as I always like to have extras/a basic set for everyday needs. Great earbuds! Strong connection, good sound quality, solid wire that doesn't tangle all that much. And, if it counts for anything, I feel like I have small ears and they are still very comfortable!

I am really surprised by these headphones. I buy rly cheap in-ear headphones for when I want to watch some movies, or YouTube, or play games at night and people in my house are sleeping. I just need headphones to plug into my controller for audio, so since it’s only for that purpose, and I have better wireless pro earbuds for my daily use at work for my phone and music and whatever else, I just buy whatever has good reviews and is the cheapest. But man I am very suprised with these. For the price, very decent build quality, pretty good sound, very nice ear seal, they fit good in your ear the way the bud is shaped, and they are really comfortable too. And the microphone isn't that bad either. It also comes with 2 different size silicone tips for a better fit to your ear, but the one that came on the pair already fit perfect. I was expecting mediocre for the price as usual as the ones I’ve had before (not these pair, a different pair I bought on Amazon, but can’t buy anymore) but these surprised me a lot. Definetly just going to buy these again when it probably breaks in a year or 2 again. For just under $20, very impressed. 5/5!
