DC Collectibles DC Universe Animated Movies: Son of Batman: Robin Action Figure

I was reluctant to get this figure upon seeing the prototype (which is used even for the Amazon description). There is something about the way it was sculpted, or painted or photographed that makes Damian's head and ears look much larger than they appear in the animated movie. But upon seeing some video reviews of the production figure, whatever issues I was noticing had been remedied.This toy is GREAT. The sculpting is dead on, the paint application (including DCC's new style of incorporating "hard lines" as if to simulate the actual animation) all works really well, and I thought I was going to have to be very careful with all the tiny joints but everything articulated without and breakage.

Great product! The details are really nice, and it seems pretty durable for the most put. It's great as a collectible, and would look nice put up somewhere in your house/room. If your getting it for a a child to play with that'd be great also! The only things I'd watch out for there are the little sword, which can be fairly delicate, and the thumb on the right hand that may come of if your not careful.

The cape wasn’t very durable

I just got this the other day, have not taken it out of the package since its for my husband for Christmas. By just looking at it the quality looks great and so persise, I think my husband will be very happy with this and it will have a great home in his batman and Robin man room.

I love damien, but this figure is a little flimsey. It looks ok, but it is just not up to par with other dc figures out there. I still put it on display, but up close its just not the best.

Really happy that I chose to order this figure! There have only been a few Damian figures made, I own some of the previous ones as well as this new one. Now, this may not be the BEST Damian figure ever made -- that honor goes to the DC Direct Batman Inc. Damian as Robin figure which now goes for nearly $200 in the aftermarket -- but this one is well worth the ~$20 asking price. Like all the other figures in this Animated line from DC Collectibles, it has less articulation than their New 52 figures. While it is a bummer, I think this figure makes up for it with a great sculpt and quite good paint apps, something that is becoming rarer in the figure world. I highly recommend this figure to anyone who needs to add a New 52 Damian/Robin to their collection, as he looks nearly identical to how Damian appears in the comics despite the "Animated" line he comes from. Hopefully we have more Damian figures to look forward to, but this one is not one you'll be sorry you bought.

Good scale, nice to add the son of Batman to the mix of Dick Grayson, Jason Todd and Tim Drake.
